Does OSX's built in spellchecker work with.. say firefox?

To date I still have yet to figure out how it works

I'm going out on a limb here...but I "perdict" a black anodized aluminum version of the MBP. Here are the specs:

-13.3", 15", 17" models
-black anodized aluminum or "classic" g4 aluminum option
-2.16 & 2.33 gHz Merom chips
-standard 1 Gig of RAM upgradable to 4 Gigs
-Nvidia graphics card with 256-512mb of vRam
-8x Superdrive across the board
-latchless design
-slightly tweaked casing to set it apart from g4 powerbooks

What it won't have:
-Blu-Ray Drive
-wireless "N"
-leopard....duh

in Safari you can turn on check spelling as you type if you go to Edit>Spelling and check it off.

there are plug-ins for Firefox to use a spellchecker, but since it is not an OS X native app its not able to use the built-in spell check.

i'm just happy that the next release of Camino should have spell checking! woot!

Another useless and redundant discussion. But oh well..
Apple has already said Leopard would be previewed at this years WWDC.That's one thing..
New MacPro's to test Leopard on will be another.

Now if Apple can only make that tumbleweed smaller and faster going down the dirt road we will have something!!

has it been confirmed that we are getting new nano'S? i really want one but i want more than 1 or 2 or 4 gigabytes. so for now, i'm just going to stick with getting a new DS Lite.

A Quiet Riot?

WWDC = Professionals/Developers.

I'll say it again. There will be nothing about the:

MacBook
iMac
Mac mini
iPod
iPod nano
iTunes
iTunes Music Store

WWDC will deal with:

Preview of 10.5. Not a release date, just a big preview.

WWDC may deal with:

Intel-based PowerMac replacement
Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro
Progress of Universal Pro Apps, possible MS Office announcement. CS3 notably absent.
Intel-based xServe replacement.

That's about it.

Consumer products may be updated outside of the event either next week or the week after the WWDC. This may be in the form of special events or online releases. Anything big will probably appear at Apple Expo Paris.

wasn't the 3G iPod introduced at a WWDC?

No, there is no such thing as a 3G iPod.

We have always been at war with East Asia.
Dammit. I think you got me. Mind you, it was a massive overhaul to the iPod and introduced a lot of new "developery" things like the dock connector. Updated nanos aren't nearly as revolutionary.

yes it was an overhaul instead of an update, but we could see Major changes take place is all i'm pointing out. any small updates won't be dealt with at WWDC, but anything big has a chance and is fair game.

I perdict that the Mac Pro will be introduced at WWDC with availability to follow shortly afterwards.
I perdict that Leopard will be introduced and demonstrated with availability to follow early next year (at MWSF?).
I perdict that Steve will wear jeans and a turtle neck sweater and say "boom!" at least once.

Hopefully Leopard will have improved spelling facilities, so that words like "perdict" never darken our forum again.

Oooh, ya evil!:D Be nice to the guy, he just didn't consider his argument, that's all. I've made stupid predictions too, but it's cool.

BTW, I think your pERdictions are correct...:D

I perdict you don't get good grades in English Class.

EDIT: I won't remove my comment on your grammar, but I will add a prediction of my own.
I predict the Mac Pro (which I think is a bit obvious), and a Leopard preview (which is what I am looking forward to). As for iPod's I am really not sure if anything significant will be discussed.

Cut this guy some slack? Youve pointed out his grammer mistake in two seperate threads, along with several other people.

Im sure he understands his mistake by now.

Try it.

I actually did read the entire thread before posting, and I attribute the cumulative effect of the annoyingly bad English to my lashing out in this fashion.

But hey, thanks for jumping to your conclusion.
