I, too, was one of the Merom-waiters. I finally gave in this morning and ordered a MBP(15" 2.0 Ghz 1GB 256MB video ram, refurb'd). The great thing is: I got a shipped notification from Apple a few hours ago. My new genital warmer should be here by Wednesday, I'm so stoked!

The only down side is that it won't be ship till october 19th, but happy anyway.... and of course, if merom updates soon, I guess I'll get that !
