Check out mac me an offer for selling. You won’t get as much as private sales, but they are great to deal with, and it’s not like you’re getting anything with it sitting there. It’s only gonna be worth less the longer it sits.

Awesome, thanks so much! It's like twice as much as I could have gotten from trading in to Apple.

You’re welcome. I just sold them my iMac. It’s the second one I’ve sold them, and they also bought one from my daughter (which was technically an old one of mine). They are super nice to deal with, and I had the money in my paypal within 24 hours of them receiving the computer. I probably could’ve gotten more selling another route, but it’s a little different selling and shipping a big computer than something like an iPad or phone. Macmeanoffer sends the label, pays the shipping, etc., so you do have to take that into consideration on top of the price they give you as well.

I was cleaning out my ”craft” closet upstairs where I also keep all the Apple boxes, extra screen protectors, etc. I don’t keep all the boxes because some of my daughters do have some of the kids’ boxes at their houses, but this is a pretty hefty stack.

Y’all are probably wondering how I can stack them sideways like that, but that’s my little secret. 🤪

I always think it’s mildly funny when I hear people say “the $300 ipad is perfect for kids or your grandma!” meanwhile my company just issued 2000+ of them for daily professional use for the next 3 years.

Apple boxes are the only ones I keep when the warranty is up. I still have my iPhone 5s box under my bed (found it the other week along with Apple bags when I wasn’t looking for them,) though I threw my iPad 3 box when I gave it away. Must be the only person who doesn’t seem interested in a newer one having decided they quite like an iPad - I wasn’t trying to inflict torture!

My Mini 5 box is used as a doorstop.

Don’t buy any more iDevices now - I don’t think you can fit another one on that pile!

I have always kept them because I often sell off the older items to help fund the new, especially for the grandkids. I just like being able to ship the items with original packaging.

You’re right though, my pile is quite high. It might be time to quit for a while.

Speaking of "problems" I must have a big one.
In order of use:
Used daily: 3 windows 10 laptops (of which a surface style device) + 1 windows 10 desktop + 1 macbook air 11 + ipad pro 10.7 and pro 9.7, samsung galaxy S10e
Used weekly and/or intermittently for specific purposes :2 windows 10 laptops (of which a surface device), ipad mini 4 (bed device) and mini 5, ipad pro 12.9, iphone se 1st gen
Used rarely: 4 windows 10 devices (3 of which tablets or convertibles), android 5.0 tablet with built-in projector (yoga 2 pro),
Not used anymore: 7in windows 10 pocket laptop, 2 old half broken windows 10 (formerly windows 8) convertibles, 3 windows 7 laptops, 3 windows xp laptops (oldest one dating back to 2002), 1 android 4.3 tablet, and all my old phones (samsung and nokia ones, oldest ones dating back to 2002)
(not counting the '90s desktops when I was living at my parent's house and that are still there...)

Plus a mini 2 on ios 10 and another pro 9.7 that hare in lockdown, as their were used for one of my businesses (a dance school) that had to be closed because of the lockdown....

So a few of the grandkids are staying the night. They just had some down time and played their iPads. When I took them away for the night, I realized we have a problem.

This is only half the grandkids (and therefore half the iPads), and none of the adults’ pads. 😳

Share your iPad stash pics!
That’s NOT a problem that’s a blessing. Kids in most counties would love to have just 1 IPad here these kids have 1 IPad Per child.

Granny that is so mean. Those poor children! I feel especially bad for whoever got their phone taken.

Handing my devices to Granny at bedtime would be a small price to pay if she’d bought me these cool things in the first place.

I got an iPod for Christmas/birthday once but when I wanted an iPhone, I got some money in a card and told to save up for my own (not by Granny.)
