I want an aluminum case but with a dark blue anodized paint job with a black keyboard.... now that would be sweet :)

EDIT: They can use powder coat paint (like they use for expensive cars) so it won't scratch

I've wanted one for a very long time. It would be really nice to have a Pro laptop in a case that suits professionals who need the durability.

Exactly what I was thinking. I have a MacBook currently, but I'll be upgrading to a MacBook Pro soon. I heard that the aluminum tends to dent easily, so I'm definitely getting one of those plastic covers for it. I forget who makes them, but there's a red one and a clear one. I'm getting the clear.

the covers are made by speck and clear is the may to go for the mbp.

As far as white/black mbp it'd be a cool option like someone said, but make a red one like the nano and I'm sold

I had a Powerbook for a year, and now have had this MBP for 6 months and I've never dented or scratched either. I'm not particularly abusive, but I'm not particularly careful either. I toss it in a backpack everyday and cart it back and forth to school... Heck, when I had the PB, I didn't even have a sleeve for it.

I'm still pretty confused by those that say the MBP is prone to dents...hasn't been my experience at all. To me, it's MORE durable than the Macbooks (I've had both the white and the black).. especially the white, which would get scratched when you breathed on it.
