And I think some of you are misreading my comments: I didn't assign blame to Apple for this. I merely said it could not be done under certain circumstances. This was in response to those of you who smugly asserted that if you couldn't do it, it's user error. Incorrect.

Just out of curiosity, since you are unable to save to ICD using the Mail app and Exchange, what happens when you try to save a PDF to iBooks using the same setup?

If you can do that, you should be able to save to ICD. You could also try to drag a PDF out of the same Exchange account to the desktop, on your Mac/PC. That would certainly let you know if there was some restriction in place that would prevent saving attachments. I have seen restrictions for receiving attachments, but I can't find one that would prevent saving attachments that have already been downloaded.

Well, it seems that the thread and original question was about Apple's Mail app for iOS, so the replies were applicable to that. You basically brought up an example of a third party app that doesn't support it because the app's developer didn't add support in for that.

Press and hold on mail attachments: great tip! Opened up iCloud Drive usefulness for me on my iOS devices when combined with the previously useless (to me) iCloud Drive app. Thanks.
