I wish I could buy a PC... with OS X

I´m really disappointed by the new Mac Pro and really thinking going back to PC and Windows. :eek: But I love OS X and hate Windows. That is the problem. And I really don´t like the idea of Hackintosh.

Apple really let me down with the new Mac Pro.

What can I do? :(

2) Buy the new mac pro - Lacks many things I need
3) Buy a different mac model - Lacks the power
4) Build a hackintosh - Don´t know how, don´t like the idea of messing around (don´t like building PCs either), want good warranty

Not sure what you are hoping to hear - Some solution I haven´t thought about

The only options you have are the 4 I gave. If they aren't satisfactory, might be time to look into a new ecosystem. If not, then just adapt your wants to what is offered

I don't have much of solutions to suggest. This may not be ideal,maybe for option 4 build a hackintosh but get an expert to build this as he may know ways to minimize bugs/fixes. Or just keep using your current Mac Pro and try to upgrade it.
 
The (want good warranty) for hackntosh is a wierd argument.

each individual part has warranty dude, and as long as you buy good hardware, e.g. not a $100 motherboard, decent asus cards and such you shouldn't have an issue.

Most computer stores offer a build service for about $80 Australian

Hackntosh is no where near as hard as it used to be too, sure its a bit of work, but once its up and running its fine.

Build a hackntosh.

What gen mac pro do you have currently, there are alot of nvidia graphics cards and such that work great with them.
 
Pay someone who knows what they are doing to build you a hackintosh. Come to some sort of service agreement with them if things ever go bad and you don't want to deal with it. Your parts will have warranty.

This could be one option, but I don´t know anyone who could do such a deal.
 
Look over at TonyMacx86 as well. Whole site that is basically about getting OSX onto PC's, and is probably a better site then here for a Hackintosh.

Even includes Buyers Guides updated pretty much monthly with recommended motherboards, gpu cards etc. Even has some suggested builds as a complete system.

5) Wait a few months for the thing to be released. No one who as actually seen it is allowed to talk about it and visa versa.

6) Tell us why you are disappointed so we can give you better advice.

That only happens with the dummies who update without waiting for verification that it won't break their hackintosh.

Myself, after I build a hackintosh, the very first thing I do is open Terminal and type:

Code: 
mv /System/Library/CoreServices/Software\ Update.app /System/Library/CoreServices/Software\ Update.bak

That makes it impossible to accidentally update and break stuff.
