iChat 2.0 release imminent?

There are alot of normal things that would be nice in iChat
1) better use of the finder icon it seems kinda useless right now
2) as stated above working away messages
3) auto-reconnect
4) better profile editing, viewing and other stats like online time.
5) one click blocking, I know you cna do this initiall but usually i want ot block someone after i've listend to them fora second and you have to goto prefences then people then add name. I want a button to block unblock.
6) don't close the chat just because u get signed off or close the lid, leave it open and able to restart. I hate opening a new window because i had to close he lid for a sec.

you can do this, but you just can't see their away messages. what you have to do is right click on the person's name in the buddy list and drag to "get info" (or i suppose this is in a menu somewhere). then at the top of the window that pops up it says "show" and then has a drag menu. make sure their screen name is selected. it should show their profile.

Who cares about the stupid ichat icon...

it needs tabbed IMs like Adium! until it has that, i'm not switching.. it just saves so much screen real estate when i am talking to 4 or 5 people

The point of the thread isn't to say "wow what a cool icon", it is just showing that there is an iChat update coming soon. i hate you.

Now now, lets not take this personally. The fact that this icon has only been changed on the site seems to mean that someone just wanted a nicer icon. If there was in ichat 2 i assume apple would make a bigger change to the icon as they do with all their apps, though i would'nt mind seeing an ichat2....

But you see, my iChat isn't going to change it's icon on it's own, without an update, so there must be an update coming soon (if that icon is really from .mac). It's not like the iTunes 2 icon looks any different from the 4 besides the colour, and the iMovie, iPhoto, and iDVD icons have never changed.
