I tried the AquaProxy patch but for some reason ALL iCloud Related applications/connections (iCloud thru settings/accounts - FaceTime - iMessages) doesn’t let me connect despite following the 2FA instructions. Is there something wrong with either my AquaProxy or my Mavericks installation ?

Specifications:
- 2013 13 inch Macbook Air
- 4 GB Ram
- 128 GB SSD
- OS X Mavericks 10.9.5

Did you make an account or change your password recently?

Someone just emailed me yesterday reporting that after changing their Apple ID password, they were suddenly unable to log into iCloud on Mavericks anymore (or on iOS 6) where it had previously worked. I'm wondering if Apple implemented some sort of new password-hashing system which Mavericks is incompatible with.

Does anyone have a "burner" iCloud account they don't mind losing access to on Mavericks to see if they can reproduce this? @iPodNano3 this might be somewhere your epic CharlesProxy skills could really come in handy!

I am having this issue as well. Despite having logged in on another copy of Mavericks (2014 MacBook Air), I am not able to log in on my MacBook Pro (2014). Using iCloud does not give a verification code, and generating one myself or using the App Store (which works), the iCloud preference pane still gives the error. iMessage and FaceTime also do not activate.

This started to happen to me as well a few days ago. I just get a "Wrong Password“ feedback when signing in, in the settings. When inspecting with Charles, the servers respond with a 401. So my guess is, that apple has turned something of recently.

theyve deprecated the old plain password format. not to worry though. im writing a plugin that makes it use grandslam to log in. i have tested the algorithm and icloud works for me. even icloud keychain syncs!
