Weren't most made by others, slightly reshaped and had an Apple badge stuck on?

(thinking of early Laserwriters which looked to have the same chassis as Canon and Kyocera printers)

Most all of them were re-pakaged and licensed Canon designs that Apple sold for a premium. You could always buy Canon replacement cartridges for half the price of the same Apple sticker'd one. A notable exception was the Apple Color laserwriter which had a retail price the same as a top line mac back in the day. Biggest beast of a printer Apple ever made.

They should open a DMV. Apple's DMV wouldn't be designed by the devil.

A printer that just works.

YES YES YES. EVERY PRINTER EVER SUCKS!!!!!!

paper jams are literally the most frustrating things in the world, they're happening more and more often now, like every day on my printer.

One day, I'm going to throw that thing out the window, or maybe set it on fire, or possibly both...

I think the early Apple printers were rebadged HP machines. Looking back, it's kinda easy to tell...

Dell printers are just rebadged Lexmarks...
