If Apple sold the Galaxy Fold 3/4 hardware with iOS on it, would you switch over from a slab phone?

Absolutely NOT until they fix that hideous crease across the middle of the screen.

But I am 100% sure Apple wouldn't release a folding phone until that major problem is fixed.
Yeah. If Apple has any plans at all to release a folding phone they will do what they always do…perfect it in secret and then do a 'One more thing' presentation where it's revealed at the end.

Then all the other manufacturers make a mad scramble to catch up and fix their folding devices.

Just was curious how many people would make the switch to the Galaxy Fold 3/4 if it ran iOS?

Btw I know the rumors of the future folding iPhone with no crease… but I’m mostly wondering about the current Galaxy Fold 3/4 hardware (which has the slight crease down the middle).

Thanks for the replies 🙂

No. My wife and one of my daughters use Samsung equipment, and the quality difference between their Samsung phones (past & present) and the iPhones I’ve used is substantial. This may not reflect everyone’s experience, but it sure does mine. If I wanted a folder I would wait for the Apple.

No, because I think it's a silly idea (ok a niche idea if I want to be kind) that doesn't address any problem I have. I don't care about a phone that can be folded to half of one of its dimensions, but at the cost of being 2x as thick.

I had a Galaxy Fold 3 for a short while but having to open & close the thing all the time really got on my nerves and the small front screen was not really useful. Needless to say I'm back with an iPhone and lesson learned.

I hated the old flip phones like the Moto Razr or some Nokias back in the 2000-years. Never ever used one. Neither the sliders.
I have always been the classic candy bar style phone user and that’s not gonna change with „foldable“ smartphones.

I say no now but I also said that about Apple Watch and now I’m eyeing the Hermès one soooooo maybe.

I had a Z Flip 3 for a few months. Loved the form factor, hated the software. If Apple made a flip iPhone like that I'd probably be all over it.
