and it wasn't a Huawei, it would be a BUY BUY BUY!
Seriously doubt the foldable design can get any better than that. Absolutely no compromises in that phone.. none. Doubt if Apple can pull off anything close, especially with their patented flat-folding hinge..

people honestly felt keyboard-less phones would be a niche product....I honestly feel like foldable phones are gonna flop and will never take off.
You might wanna lay off the hype / cool-aid
From AndroidPolice:
“We saw another unit in a presentation we couldn't photograph that plainly had a huge crease along the fold, and the entire display looked like wavy plastic. I wouldn't get your hopes too high on the first generation of these phones - they look hugely compromised.”

It’s not gonna be a runway hit because it’s freaking 1800-2600 bucks. Come on. Tech people and youtubers will likely love it but for it to be a hit, obviously the price have to come down.I honestly feel like foldable phones are gonna flop and will never take off.

Alot of people said the same about front screen phones. People said nobody would want an on-screen keyboard... back when blackberry was thriving.. and flip phones were all the rage.... Seems silly now.
Same thing will happen with folding phones, eventually they will be refined, Apple will jump in to the fold (pun intended) and they will become a mainstream device that will replace your phone and tablet.... Just like the iPhone replaced your flip phone and ipod.
It also folds out as a square. What app, picture, or video is going to fill the screen? None. Also the OS would have to be able to run two apps in two separate windows at the same time for it to be marginally useful.
Nobody knows if foldable phone (or tablets?) will be succesful or not. There are many technologies that were supposed to be a revolution but were never adopted (modular phones, 3d screens...).
Huawei’s Mate X is a better looking foldable than Samsung, but Samsung does have one advantage. The U.S. while Samsung announced that the Galaxy Fold will be treated like the Apple Watch Edition with luxury care, I’ll be interested to see how popular it is here and globally. I’ve overlooked the “it’s too expensive”. If something can be put on a payment plan for $50/Month, yeah it’s. It expensive. My co-worker complained that I spent $1500 for the XS Max, but bought the same phone on a monthly plan.

i find the negativity here against foldable phones laughable because it wasn't invented by apple first.
