I bought my first smartphone in 2005, SX66. 1st iphone was released in 2007. Apple was always behind. MS invented tablets first but no one was interested in them until Apple made them.

Hasn’t that always been Apples trajectory? I’m. not snarking at Apple, but They’ve usually been behind the competition in a lot of different areas for years, not just the smart phone world.

What I think is interesting, is all of a sudden because Samsung and Huwaei introduced their own foldable displays, Apple is ‘rushing’ to start their own version of this. FYI, Apple has had patents available for a foldable display since last October, they very well could be working on foldable displays long before the competition even released their own just recently. I think people really do think Apple is that naïve and unaware of the future, especially when Apple has some of the best engineers in the world that work on the smart phone platform, it’s expected that they very well will dabble in this type of technology at some point.

Yeah they will. They knew Foldables were being released by competitors. Their profit margins are still high. They had no reason to be the “crash test dummies” for Foldables.

They’ll make their move when they see fit, not based on YouTube content creators thinking they can put pressure on them to do so.
