If IOS could run on the Galaxy S6 would you buy it?

Yeah, I know it is a pipe dream, but it's fun to think about stuff. It really looks like the S6 Edge hit it out of the park with the 14nm processor and the upgraded camera.

I would absolutely buy the S6 Edge if it could run IOS.

I probably would as the exterior of the S6 is a really nice design. It has some influence from the current iPhone too so its already appealing. The mirrored back is a bit of a fingerprint magnet though but that can be resolved I think.

I'm saying no. A live wallpaper alone would show off the edges. And there are already tons of third party widgets that can be parked along the edges. It would be a waste to put iOS on the phone.

I have always got the impression iOS is a lot more efficient so to me I think the potential of the S6's hardware would be greater, but hey it will never happen anyway nor does it need to.

Nope. I'm over iOS. The features and freedom of android have been liberating. My phone actually does what I want now. My oneplus one is easier to use now that it's set up just the way I like it. Easier than my iPhone 6.

I wish I could get the s6 or s6e running cyanogen though!

Why?? Android handsets (the premium ones) are way better than an iPhone. People buy iPhones for iOS.

Just curious? Do you really just want your home screens to be a grid of square icons? Do you want to be able to pull up a menu with quick access to wifi, bluetooth, etc?

Do you really just want it to look and feel like an iPhone? If so, you can already do that with a myriad of launchers on the Play Store. Check out the One Launcher.

Do launchers allow you to connect to iTunes, use iMessage, FaceTime, photo stream and iCloud? I don't think they do so perhaps there is more to it that just looks. If it were about looks alone I think iOS would still get it.

Me too! Part of the liberation that I recently made from my iPhone 6 to the Oneplus One.

Things are so much easier to set up and use on Android, in my opinion.

I understand iOS is more than just looks. I'm asking the OP what he/she truly means when they say iOS on an Android device. Some people truly do think of iOS as just the home launcher and how things navigate. If that's the case, Android phones can for the most part mimick it.

By the way, I think of iTunes,iMessage, FaceTime, photoStream, and iCloud as apps, first party apps, but still apps. There is a viable equivalent to it on Android (Whatsapp, Hangouts, Skype, Google Drive, Google+). Well maybe not the horrendous iTunes. Nothing is worse than it.
