iPad Pro if iPP 11" doesnt move alotta units, is 11" size screwed software wise?

I don’t see any compelling reason why the experience could not be ported to iPad with a native app. Just because something was done different in the past is the worst excuse to avoid change in my opinion.

Um, that’s what I’m talking about. There’s an app. It works great in landscape. At least it does on both of my iPads. I only use it in landscape.

You could post a link to the App Store page for the app. The official Instagram app only has an iPhone version that you can run on the iPad. No landscape.

It’s literally the regular instagram app that, when you look at it in the App Store, it only shows pics of the app on the iPhone. All I can think is that if you delete and re-download, you might get landscape functionality? It’s working on both my iPads. I have a screenshot but I can’t figure out how to upload it.

Apple should just implement policies for devs who refuse to optimize their apps by a certain date. (e.g. no more payment)

We would have a lot less apps. I will take one that does what I want, even if not formatted for my 11”, rather than having no app at all. Apple does not need to be forcing the developers to update. Some of the apps, most, are not worth updating anyway.

That’s very interesting. I just tried to download it and got the usual zoomed in phone version in portrait. Maybe they’re testing an iPad version in select areas?

That's what Instagram looks like on my iPad when I view it through a web browser. I think what's happening is that you probably created a shortcut to launch Instagram. That would look like a regular app on the home screen.

Nope, I downloaded the app. It’s not in Safari at all. I have shortcuts and they’re definitely different.

Also, when I go into the App Store, it says OPEN next to the instagram app, and when I click OPEN it opens this app. That wouldn’t happen for a shortcut.

When I downloaded it, that’s what I expected. When it wasn’t the phone version, I was really surprised. Then I got my new iPad and it’s the same on that one as well - I restored from backup, but several of my apps were unusable and this one was fine.

I’ve probably had it on my older iPad for about 2 months. I assumed they’d made it available for everyone.
