How do you open the terminal?

Type 'terminal' in spotlight. But in case you're not aware, they're talking about regular osx, not the iPad.

defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true

Close and then re-open Safari and when you click a link it will open in a new tab instead of a new window.
