If people scrutinize their iPhones with magnifying glasses for a $700-$1000 purchase what are they going to do to a $30,000+ car? Hi, I'm returning my car because the paint is 1.1% darker on the front left fender than the rear quarter panel, or I'm returning my car because the windshield wipers have a slight lag from when I turn them on to when they start. I can't wait personally.

And there are a few on these forums that will complain about the Rev counter not being 60fps.

20yrs from now, a new generation of Apple fans will believe that Apple invented the car. And everything pre Apple car was just a sad attempt at a vehicle. And everything after is a copy. And of course Steve Jobs will continue to not allow this

Owners will be mad because when they take it in for warranty repair after the first week, Apple will instead simply give them a different car made up from working pieces of all the other cars brought in for warranty work.

However, the refurb car comes with a new battery and windshield, which will cause some people to claim that it is actually better than getting a new one.

Mostly just old Microsoft type of jokes just updated for Apple.
That speak a lot to the current state of Apple's product quality control, doesn't it. Having total control over SW/HW and boat load of money in the bank, one would think that they learn a thing or two from their competitors' downfall and not repeat them.

Having a little fun aside, we all want good reliable products no matter who make them.

Mostly speaks to the reality software industry in general.

That is mostly true. However, we're paying so much more for Apple products that we should demand more instead of being content with getting the average industry level of quality in return.

Anyway, let's get back to the Apple car topic. Sorry for taking the fun out of this thread.

Apple is now the cheapy on the block.

But if the apple car is like samsung products (like my Sammy TV), they will neuter it with firmware updates, so i has less functionality two years later.

I would like to see Apple car implement car unlock, so no more pesky hack-able FOB's so u can unlock your car with an iPhone and Touch ID... It wouldn't use RF, but some unique cypro unique to the car and the phone, probably via Bluetooth

In the same way u set up an Apple watch, u would download the Apple app to set up.

Apple will invent butterfly style accelerator and brake pedal that’s thinner than ever.... Yet clicks and gets stuck sometimes or the brakes doesn’t register.
