removal of the dark grey area in the middle of my (brand new core 2 duo)screen and a manager actually calling me back when they say they will.

I had a first gen iMac albeit a bit slow it was great to be able to wip it open.

I think 2 harddrives would be great considering time machine is on the way.

Removable screen would be good, so if it where more like a docking station for the screen so you could put a larger screen on there if you wanted or keep the screen for when the computer dies.

A refresh to the design, this has been around for ages, i have had this design in front of me for just over 2 years now.

Desktop parts rather than laptop parts (graphics/processor).

Desktop parts would make iMac more noisy, and warm. It would also probably make it alot thicker..

For changes i would like to se Video - In , so i can use it for playig games in HD with my Xbox 360.

That would be great!

Well the G5 was thicker and didnt look bad.

The G5 was quite noisy. It also had some serious heat problems.

iMac is not the right environment for desktop parts. Merom is a really fast CPU. Technology evolves every day. Switching back to warm noisy desktop-parts is a step in the wrong direction imho.

No screen hum!

A couple more USB ports.

Easier access to the internals for upgrading.

I'll see that and raise you no dead/stuck pixels. A TV tuner with HDTV abilities would also be wicked so I can hook up a PS3 to it. Oh, and surround sound capabilities, at least an easy adaptor like the mini-dvi to dvi adaptor.

Graphics card... thats about it. I have a X1600 with 256RAM, and should be fine because I don't game.

one other thing. allow other uses for the monitor. make it easier to connect to other devices so the monitor can be used with your game console, or whatever else. even if it only includes a DVI input, there are converters and adapters that will work well enough.

Exactly! All big Dell flat panels (like their 24" beauty) have component AND DVI in. Plus they can raise, lower, and swivel 90" to portrait mode.

It would be cool if the keyboards would supply enough power for (unpowered) USB accessories so that instead of having to reach behind the computer they plugged straight into the keyboard. I know some stuff can work like this but not always...
I would have an audio input which has a built in iMic so it isolates system noise. The chin doesnt bother me at all...but imagine a touch sensitive wheel on the remote like the ipod...now that WOULD be cool. :D :D

You're complaining about the blonde? I thought that was just a perk. :p

You left off a simple, yet super useful one mentioned above: eSATA. It would go a long way to not being able to replace the internal drive.

you all forgot the dream-feature:

built-in printer behind the screen. Printed sheets come out the bottom, sliding beautifully onto your... keyboard.

hmm i'll keep thinking about that one.
