  • Are there features in iWork desktop that will not be there in iWork iPad?

  • Yes.
How do I sync contacts between my iPhone and iPad without Outlook, without syncing to Google, and without MobileMe (ie: without any go-between).
If you're a Windows user, you can't. Someone may be able to write an app for that, but you're realistically going to need a third-party service to coordinate contacts if you don't want to use Outlook-compatible address books.
Can the camera attachment be potentially used as a usb flash disk reader?
While not confirmed, the basis of camera support is an implementation of the USB mass storage stack, so the USB accessory should be able to read any USB mass-storage compliant device as long as iPhone OS 3.2 supports it outside of the photos app.
Can I turn 3G data off (ie: Airplane mode) so that I can save on my bandwidth?
This, as another poster has mentioned, is a requirement for any device for use on aircraft.
(Might have been answered) Can I monitor how much data I've already used?
You get warnings at 20%, 10%, and 0% on the limited plan, and presumably, like the iPhone, there will be a usage meter in the Settings application to tell you exactly how much data you've transfered.
Keyboard dock - can i touch the screen while the iPad is in the dock? Does it fall over?
Of course you can. How else would you be able to use the iPad?

Mine isn't exactly a question, but...
"Mr. Jobs, convince me right now that I need an iPad."

Well, since you bought a late 2009 laptop then personally I don't think you "need" one. I'm retiring my MBP - now 3.5 years old - in favor of an iPad. But if I'd just bought a 13" MBP or Air I'd likely hold off on that decision.

SJ wouldn't like me to say that as he claims it's a middle, complementary product.

For me, it's a replacement :)

Steve wanna give props for the Archos 705 from 3 years ago for inspiring the iPad?

That's because Steve Jobs won't confirm the existence of it, Steve will deny it explicitly. We will know when Engadget and other sites get invitations to a media event or probably at WWDC.

Uh, that's sort of the point of this thread, no?

If you read the previous quote, I was referring to why people didn't ask this question. The title says if you could get SJ to answer the question, this question would never be answered, no matter if you were torturing this guy.

I'm pretty sure Dick Cheny and his waterboard would get Steve to even reveal where Osama is.

Me: Steve Jobs, what do you think of the HP Slate and Amazon Kindle?

SJ: There is no Kindle or Slate. There is only iPad!

His hypnotizing eyes sear into my brain. Flashes. Sparkles. iPad. I want, no need iPad!

Disclaimer: Actual effects of asking Steve Jobs may vary

Why don't you at least include a thin pouch for the iPad like the ones that came with the iPod videos??

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

Will the iPad support multitasking in a future software update?
