Apple london store had iLife 06 and iWork family packs in today, which I have purchased. Really like iWeb for the few mins that I have played with it, I don't want to spend loads of time designing websites, but do want some more options beyond the .Mac templates that I was using before. iDVD now has widescreen menus, which look great. Definitely worth the upgrade (iLife - have not played with iWork yet) .

Definitely worth it

I used iLife briefly last night... it is very very cool. I've cleared out my '05 pictures from iPhoto so I can't really comment on how fast it is with tons of pictures. But the full-screen editing is very nice.

The new themes of iDVD are great! Haven't used it very long but they definitely do the widescreen right.

iWeb was almost worth the price of the software by itself (for me anyway). The themes are a bit limited... but it is SO easy and intuitive to use. I have zero experience designing web sites.. and in literally 5 minutes I had a professional looking website completed that I'm very happy with.

One bad thing... no white apple stickers! :p

p.s. looks like I'm just repeating what James Craner had said. Oh well...

Do people actually need more than a couple of these? I stuck the first few on various things, and was suitably smug, but now I seem to have hundreds of them just lying around not doing much. :D

Now that people are getting iLife, I'm eager to read the reviews and hear people's impressions. I think regardless though, I'll be picking up a copy for myself in the very near future as well. Really looking forward to the new iPhoto.

The packaging is cool, good to see apple making packaging as small as they can to save space and help the enviroment...

I'm gonna try and pick up a copy of iLife this weekend i look forward to trying out iWeb and the new iPhoto.....

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can install individual pieces of software for instance iPhoto only and not the rest if you werent intending on using them??

SHadoW;)

Your link is fine. I've noticed that the address is case sensitive. Just change your "iWEB" to "iWeb" and your original will work.

My site by the way is http://web.mac.com/aaronedman/iWeb/

I swear I didn't just copy your welcome page either iriejedi. That black is just too cool.

Hey, nice site PharmD... you guys are making it awfully hard to resist iLife06... oh well, I'm swinging by an Apple store today afternoon anyway...

That's cool and all, but what we really want to know is how's it working? Bugs? Is iPhoto still broken... that one needed a radical overhaul... etc.

I'll try to review it once I actually get to start working with it...I'm still at work...you know...work is how I support my Mac habit :p

Looking forward to iPhoto and iWeb, although I'm bummed that I'll only be able to use it through .Mac.

you only get two choices for the welcome page (I think) so at that rate it would mean on average 50% of the people are copying our pages!

That's what I thought too, but after checking just now, you can use all the other templates as well, it's just that those two are the only ones visible when opening iWeb without scrolling. I think what happens is, people like you and I see the black and white and think that's it, then after some time realize "Oh, there are more templates." Black is still cool though.:D
