I'm a girl and I've never owned a single pink thing but my very first iPhone was a blue 5c. It was beautiful. I think everyone will choose a color and phone that fits them best.

I'm now on a 7+. The 7+ doesn't feel heavier than the 6s but I really needed the extra battery life. Add in the fact that jet black reminds me of the 5c in texture and feeling, and I'm happy with my choice.

Blue 5c as well. Love the jet black (though I don't own it). I'm hoping they make jet black and jet white at $650 level in September.

Make it rain white iPhones in september. Haha

I'm a 30 year old guy. A few days ago I intentionally bought an iPhone SE in Rose Gold.

I love it. I chose the SE for practical reasons - I have small hands, and also felt the 6/7 was too big for having in a pocket (was worried about it breaking).

The SE is a perfect size phone. It is small enough to not feel noticeable when carrying it, and I can type with one hand instead of needing 2 for the 6/7.

Also, the battery life is great. I can almost go two full days of moderate usage.

I chose Rose Gold, despite it being called "pink" and identified as more of a "female friendly colour", for three reasons:

1) I actually like the colour. It feels premium, and looks different in different lighting.

2) You can tell it apart from the other 5-body models as Rose Gold is exclusive to the SE/6/7.

3) Too many people go for Grey/Silver/Gold. Ive had plenty of iPhones and always played it safe with Space Grey.

Anyway.

I love the phone. I'd go as far as to say its my favourite ever iPhone - I've owned every single iPhone from the first one through to the 7 Plus and the SE is definitely my favourite size/performance compromise.

If Apple ever release an updated SE/SE2 I will be at the front of the queue.
I think you just created a great name for the next SE if they make it (SE2)

I could of possibly settled on matte black if there was no jet black. I like black bezel. White bezel phones are too distracting to my eyes and makes the colors look washed out. My first iPhone was the 5c. That blue color was gorgeous with black bezel. I still have it. It'll be one of those phones I keep forever.
Sold mine :( needed the money.

I'm hoping to get a jet black or jet white next year.

Aside from the SE, the 5c was my favorite of all times iPhone.
Wish the general public agreed so they would keep making them.

Glad you're enjoying your SE.

I got a normal gold iPad Mini 4 in 2015 but my iPhone 7 is matte black. I have a green iPod Shuffle, too.

I'm glad you like your new iPhone.

It doesn't matter to me if you're a guy or a girl, you can rock your pink iPhone while wearing a pretty Sunday dress for all I care. As long as what makes you happy doesn't harm anyone else, people need to get over it. A colour is just a particular visible wavelength of the electromagnetic spectrum that an object happens not to absorb.

I had a rose gold 6s+ I am comfortable with my sexuality. (Also I correctly guessed that it would have the highest resale value)

Nothing wrong with Rose Gold if you like that colour. I had a phase of only liking white electronic devices.

It's sad reading threads like these...gender and color association shouldn't be a thing in 2017. Rock whatever color you like. Gender makes no difference and anyone saying otherwise needs to evolve IMO

I'm more concerned that people still say "rock" when they mean use, wear, or carry.

Black is the best color for phones and tablets IMO, any other tends to make the screen look smaller.

Geez another disclaimer post. I’m a guy I bought something pink. Damn. If your comfy with who you are you have no need for disclaimers

You've got the right idea haha!

My first iphone was a silver 6s, at times I couldn't tell who owned the phone when others around me had the same color.

Then I bought a red 7+ and I'm loving the color and how much it stands out, my next phone will be something along the lines of red or rose gold, or maybe something better if available at the time!

Pink is a girly color and that is a fact. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I like Apple's rose gold too.

Nothing wrong with embracing your girly side, oops I meant, feminine side.

Did we really need to dig it all up suddenly just for that?

This year's "gold" is actually (to me) sort of odd. I'd almost say it's copper. Definitely not the yellow or rose golds of prior years. And the back is interesting, too. Tan or northern-climate-wintertime-WASP flesh tone? Very hard to describe.

I'm a woman and when the gold first came out I thought it was tacky. When rose gold first came out I thought it was too youthful and for the teenage crowd. I now have an iPad mini in gold and an iPhone 8 in the new gold which is my favorite color ever. Times and opinions change and people should get the color they want. My last phone was matte black which I chose because I wanted a change from silver.
