New? It came out in 2019. It's a dinosaur. When the new Mx Mac Pros are announced people will be flocking to eBay to dump this old tech. And it only comes in silver. /s
An awful lot depends on how Apple approach ANY upgrade options with the AS macpro.
Oh dear, I very much hope so. I am waiting for this eBay dumping day to finally get one of those babies myself.
It will be the last one with bootcamp, the last one from Sir Ive, and the last “Non-walled-garden” machine with more of a decade of usable shelve life just like the cMP 5.1.
To be honest, I very much doubt that there will be any Apple Silicone Mac Pro in the foreseeable future. Apple will not be able to pull a Xenon class home-brew CPU out of their hat for such laughable, tiny, global, Apple Exclusive quantities for humanly possible price points. Get ready for RED price tags...
I actually thought the new iMac would have had a spec bump of some sort from the M1, to indicate Apples progress in their cpu design.

I can't wait for the real new Mac Pro Silicon to come out. Wonder what M"X" chip it will get and how many.

This is what I am getting. A buddy of mine is getting me an after maket 24 core processor upgrade and I wll be buying extra ram from OWC. I also got 3 LG 5K displays on the way. So cool. Am I worried about the AS Mac Pro? Not at all. My setup will be dank.
I would add that trackpad as it would be difficult if not impossible to get that after the fact. You can even resell it to others who want that colour. Just saying.

That's A trackpad, but not THE trackpad supplied with the Mac Pro 2019 which up until this time is only available and offered to Mac Pro 2019 owners.
The trackpad, keyboard, and mouse is a silver and black colour way. Not space grey.

I never use the trackpad. I am going to get the Apple extended bluetooth keyboard and probably a logitech mouse or whatever the cool kids are using these days.
There's was youtuber trying to sell his now, no one will buy it. Not sure if hes posted any updates lately
I think he meant because it’s a rare item and you could sell it if you don’t want it (maybe I misunderstood his intent).
not a fan of the Magic Mouse? I used to really love my RadTech BT600 (a decade ago, but apparently they still make them, updated sensor now I think though) but after having gestures on a mouse I don’t think I could go back to a non-touch-sensitive mouse.
I'm sure people will inundate you with mouse recs, but this Logitech is the best mouse I've ever used, by a lot. It's a gaming mouse, but without all the weird gamer aesthetics, and man does it track beautifully. Pretty affordable, too. I'm not a gamer at all, btw.
