I mean seriously... Apple has probably already mailed me a check for $200. In fact, I bet they sent it out yesterday via Express Mail. It should be in my mailbox tomorrow by noon. This will be so cool!

I was ready and excited to buy mine on June 29th, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I fully expected to see the price go down eventually. To have it go down by one-third is incredible. To have it go down by one-third two months after debut is beyond astounding.

For Apple to not find some way to make it up to those of us who saved up to be able to afford it in the first place, waited in line for a full day, and stepped up to the plate right away, would be ummm... slightly unsatisfactory.

There... I was polite. I have to go deal with the pain from biting my tongue now.

You hit on the key pain of this price drop. Everything we heard was that Apple was controlling the market for the iPhone. Little if any chance for AT&T to subsidize the phone to lower the phone costs...

I for one would have not said a thing if the iPhone 8GB dropped just a $100 today, and another $100 lets say in November...

But Apple has ticked me off... if they don't step up to the plate on this I will relook at my Apple spending... bye-bye dot Mac perhaps... no Airport base.... the list can go on...
