I have a bit of an issue:
On Saturday I collected my Alpine Green iPhone. Went to Apple to have a Belkin screen protector applied. Only had ‘anti glare’ so went for it - never had one before.
Surprised me how the anti glare looked … like the glass one. But hey, I watched him do the machine etc. It was all very rushed.

He hands it to me and I note “oh it goes over the front cameras” and he says “yes”.

I am now at home and I am not convinced there is a screen protector on this iPhone. And it’s scratched. What action should I propose to Apple tomorrow if indeed the screen protector wasn’t applied correctly / at all? Screen repair. Replacement? Along with better training on the Belkin machine?!

I wouldn't want a screen "repair". I would want a brand new device replacement. Do that 2 weeks no question ask return and go home with brand new phone (no refurb). Get some Spigen glass protector and do it yourself at home :)

Surely you can feel if there's a screen protector on there? Try peeling up an edge? If it's scracthed and it's going to come off anyway, no issue?

Yeah. There isn’t. I’ve had a go at peeling. Despite paying and watching them install it; it clearly failed and I just didn’t notice. And neither did they. In fact when I questioned it they confirmed.

En route to Apple Store. Unsure how it will go!

Upshot was… Offered instant exchange once explained to Store Leade but was bought via carrier. So they were happy to do a screen repair on my suggestion. But the back office systems won’t let them order a display against Alpine Green. Fair enough it’s 3 days old. So I have an IOU for screen repair and protector And refunded for a Belkin. So that’s all good.
