I’ve never had any of those before, but from what I understand, only the newest Samsung’s have the 120hz display. Most iPad Pros already had that for a while. Also, while I was at the Apple Store the other day, the iPd Pro screen looked really good! It was smooth and had good colors.

Edit: sorry it’s in all bold...

I just bought two new iPad pros and compared the screens to my galaxy.no troll here just offering my opinion. Yes, I was surprised at the iPad screen quality.
I'm sure you totally bought two iPads because you weren't sure if you would like them.

Regardless, some people like realistic colors, some people like Samsung AMOLED. It's a preference, nothing more.

The iPads with MiniLED screens are about to be announced. You might want to return the iPads you just bought to see what the new ones are like.

I'm not BAITING anything. I just bought a2020 pro 12" and a 2020 pro 11" because I wanted to go ipad after many years. And was just expressing my surprise about how inferior the iPad screens are next to the Samsung. Don't get all huffy.
They're not "inferior" at all.

And hilarious considering Apple is updating the iPad Pro with a new display next week. LMAO.

This is not surprising actually,Samsung are the king of high quality displays, I am actually surprised Apple didn’t go OLED on their iPad Pros back in 2018.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love using my 2020 iPad Pro 11”, I am typing on it right now and think it’s overall the best tablet out there as of writing this but Display wise I would say Apple definitely leave something to be desired.

If someone is coming from a Samsung Tab S7+ or S6, they will be coming from a Super AMOLED HDR10+ screen and in the Tab S6 case a much higher PPI screen at that, so the iPad Pro screens may actually look like a step back.

On the other end one can express how shocked they are at the poor software landscape after all these years in Android Tablets still is, which leaves much to be desired. There is no perfect tablet out quite yet.

I hope the upcoming iPad Pros will take iPads to a new level in terms of Displays as the current crop of iPad Pros definitely is not the best out there in that area, IMO.

I'm not graphics creator, so I can't comment on color accuracy and eye fatigue on IPS vs OLED in this regard.
However, where I believe OLED works better is watching movies on a device, nothing else for me, I don't have OLED tablet BTW, only been using OLED smartphones for the past 7 years exclusively.

And for that reason you’re presenting such a balanced and fact-based argument... I‘m shocked - SHOCKED - but here we go (again):

Nychot, at Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the tunneling electron microscope.

Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe.

Nychot, if I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in your opinion. Thank you for your post.
This is, by far, the best reply I've seen in all these years on MR! ?

Lots of exaggerations and approximations in this thread, starting with the OP who generalizes iPads vs Samsung and then with others who generalize with things like cartoonish Samsung etc.
I have the Tab S7+ and several iPad pros and the difference is similar to the difference between an OLED phone and an IPS phone....
Out of the box the calibration of the S7+ may not please everyone but it's possible to calibrate it precisely (which is not possible with iPad) with 3 sliders for the 3 main colors, it's also possible to disable the vivid colors or enable a blue light filter...
Overall it's a better screen IMO, especially for movies, even much better for that. For reading I prefer the iPad instead, because of a slightly better white balance especially with true tone on. But personally I don't care that much. I didn't buy the S7+ for the OLED screen. When I watch a movie or read I focus on the content, I don't compare tablets...
