Alright, these past few days I have been beyond irritated with Apple for several reasons ( wont bore you ). I am now thinking of testing the waters out with an Android.

I currently have an iPhone 6, I've had a couple of androids here and there in the past but it was always very short lived.

Which android would you recommend for someone that is wanting to test the waters? Not sure if I'd go with it full time but I want to mess around with it and see if the grass is greener.

Any suggestions? I need a decent camera, more than 16gb of space and that's really about it. I'm typically easy to please! :)

Galaxy s6 or s6 edge if you want a great camera and the fastest phone out. Arguably better all around then the iphone.

Lg g3 If you want something cheaper with a good camera.

Neither are stock android, but both are good.

I guess the one plus one is a good option as well.

That's a good idea. We have an LG G2 laying around the house that I may test out for a few days before dropping any money on a new phone.

If anyone has the S6 how do you like it? I had an S5 for about a month as my company phone but ended up switching to iOS for work as well. I really loved using ShowBox on it! Is that still available?

I've owned couple of Samsung, couple of LG, and couple of Sony. IMO Sony trumps them all in build quality, design, and functionality. I currently have (sitting here collecting dust because I can't get off iOS since everyone's on it) the 5.2" Xperia Z3, but if I was buying now I'd go with the Z3 Compact. Nearly the iPhone 6 screen size in a 5s sized body. The camera is amazing, far better than the iPhone. It's a real shame Sony is basically dead. It can be bought for under $400 now.

Not true...i have the S6 Edge. the battery last all day and then some for me my usage.
Samsung does this every year. They produce the best displays without a hit to battery life.

a better place
You could have got an HTC M7 refurb from eBay specials for $150

Keep an eye out there. Especially if you only want something to test the water.

I've heard good things from Samsung Galaxy and LG lineups. But if you want to cheat with an even wilder option that doesn't even use Android, seek out a Nokia Lumia (Windows Phone) or one of the new BlackBerrys (BB10) which are both superb in my opinion.

As he wants to try out Android, your suggestions are kind of pointless, don't you think...

If you just want to test the waters, looking for reliability, smooth/updated OS and UI, then I highly recommend finding a used Nexus 5 or the 2014 Moto X or G models. Don't bother with anything else. Price-wise, Moto G, then Nexus 5 and finally the 2014 Moto X, from cheapest to most expensive. I give the nod to the Nexus 5 for ease of updates and pure Android experience.

If you wanted to test the waters, get a Galaxy S5 or LG G3.

Both have very good cameras and will no doubt can be had with a discount.

Don't waste your time gurl :p just because the apple made a few bad choices doesn't mean all is lost !

Hahah true!

The biggest thing that has bothered me was 8.3 broke my ability to use iFunBox which I used to move saved game data around, was useful for games that don't have icloud backups, etc. I also play a lot of Kim Kardashian Hollywood and played 2 save files. I would alternate between them and now I cannot. :( which extremely sucks.

From what I understand and granted my android knowledge is limited is that for androids they have a file browser? So I guess you can move that stuff around. Would you need something like iFunBox to do that?

You could just use the file browser on the phone. No pc required.

If you love iPhones but hate what Apple is becoming, then grab an S6 or S6 Edge. They are brilliant!
