Imac Display Broken

Hi,
I unfortunately have the same broken display issue.
As a NYC resident, I have very little room to store the imac plus another monitor but it kills me to toss out the whole unit as it works perfectly with the external display.
Can anyone recommend a way or person who could re-package my imac into another small box.

Alternatively, is there any market to sell my imac for parts at a bargain basement price?

Thanks all.

we are in the reverse situation. we have a faulty logic board but an otherwise perfect Core2Duo 20" iMac :)

unfortunately, we're in Hong Kong, and there are not too many iMacs here with broken screens.

what to do... what to do...

cheers all.

I would think at this point the sensible thing would be to part out and sell the damaged iMac (working logic board with RAM and CPU could fetch $300 alone), and put the cash towards a refurb. You end up with a faster/newer machine with a 1 yr warranty and you are out of pocket by about the same amount.

Look into selling it on Ebay. My friend sold his 24" for just under $500 with a broken logic board. Use the money for a refurb or a new 21" iMac.
