5K makes sense for the games I play the most: strategy games. It makes much less sense for twitchy FPS. I'll be running those on my 34" 144hz 1440p gaming monitor coming monday.

I'll have the 5K monitor turned off if I'm 144hz gaming. I doubt the two monitors would work very well together for gaming.
I'm wondering about getting an external monitor just for gaming and saving my main 5k monitor for 'work.'
Or just getting a reasonably priced PC and Monitor for gaming.

I have to say that apart from Windows still being a garbage OS, setting up a Wintendo BootCamp partition was quick and painless. And games really do fly on the 5700XT in this one. Got Microsoft Flight Sim and Tony Hawk 1 + 2 to test today with a PS3 controller.
Ran WoW again. 5k. Graphic Setting '5' in WoW. 90 fps. That's decent. 4k was a rock solid 100 fps.

I am loving the tier 3 5500XT for the paradox games I play. Bootcamp wasn’t much faster than parallels surprisingly so I run my favorite Europa Universalis 4 in 5k in parallels 16, performance is a big upgrade from the 580X. I’d imagine your guys 5700 is a beast.
Where do you find this?
The 9to5 video instructions worked fine on the two 2020 iMacs I’ve set up so far. I’m expecting it to work on the one being shipped right now.
There are a lot of threads on MacRumors. I stopped counting when I reached a million.
Have you actually tried Installing mismatched RAM on a 2020? If so, what did you find?
The last time I ran into this situation was with a 2010 about 8 months ago. The slots that worked best (in this case, at all) for mismatched RAM were not the ones shown in the Apple support pages or in the 2011s I’ve worked on. It was a surprise.
