My iMac the reliable machine until I upgraded to Tahoe 26.2. After upgrade to the latest operating system, when I move away from the machine for few minutes the iMac goes to sleep and screen goes to blank. I expect when I click a button on keyboard or move a mouse the screen should back on, however the iMac screen remain blank.

So far only action which has worked to press the power button for few seconds to force shutdown and then reboot the machine. Please any one has encountered similar issue and have some advice for me?

Are you using Apple keyboard and mouse, or third-party? Wired? Wireless? If third-party, check you have latest software installed.

I am using Logitech Keyboard and mouse. You have a point about Apple Keyboard and I will try with Apple keyboard and see if it works.

Yeesh, that's a rough issue that I thankfully haven't had on my 2020 27" running Tahoe. Is your keyboard/mouse wired or wireless? Try a wired keyboard and see if you still have the same issue. I use an Apple ADB Keyboard from the mid-1980s via a hodgepodge of adapters and haven't had any issues so far.
