Post office tried to deliver it today but I was not home. Will pick it up tomorrow. There was no indication on the notice that there was any charge but will let you know tomorrow for sure.
Went to the Post Office to pick it up today, no extra charges. Took about one week, I used International Express Mail and had a tracking number.

OWC website only has USPS First Class International mail. Did you ask specifically for USPS international express mail? Or are they just the same?

I have two iMac's - both upgraded.
The first is an early 2010 machine (so "2009" spec) - this has a 2.8ghz i7 Quad - and it is running 12GB - (2 x 4Gb aftermarkets and 2 X 2Gb that came standard).
The second machine is a brand new late 2010 model - running the 2.93Ghz i7 Quad - I upgraded this machine to 16Gb by replacing the stock RAM (4gb) with 4 x 4GB modules bought online.
Now I don't know if this is psychological - but I noticed a major difference when I upgraded the first older machine to 12GB - it was much faster. Whereas I dod not notice an appreciable difference when I upgraded the newer machine to 16GB ??...and bizarrely the older 12gb machine seems a lot faster than the newer 16Gb machine - even thought they have identical hard drives and the processor in the new machine is supposedly faster??
Is there a programme I can run on both machines to get an objective test of their real world speed in comparison to one another?

It says express mail international on my invoice, cost was about 33 bucks. Still a lot cheaper.

right now the OWC 2x4gb is about $127.99 plus shipping. so did you pay extra $33 for shipping?

Yes, shipping was an extra 33 bucks. Still a lot cheaper than ordering one with that much RAM.
