get rid of it if you don't have convenient storage for it!

once you're past the potential DOA stage, or KNOW you're going to move soon, then it's just clutter. Keeping it to boost potential resale value may sound good in theory but I doubt it's worth enough to live with the clutter of the box

you'd be surprised how much more appealing an item is when it comes with it's original packaging. I know I prefer buying items with it..

if you check eBay or the marketplace here, you'll see that's a big selling point.

yeah, if he's got room to store it someplace then, sure, keep it....but if it means using it as a coffee table because there's no place to store it, well, that's probably not going to appeal to his wife

get rid of it if you don't have a good place to store it!!

I'm keeping mine---even though I had to cut a big old honking hole in it for the proof of purchase (printer rebate offer).
