I am mainly just hoping for Blu-Ray and USB 3.0 (Just because its the latest and greatest). I do want them to make it in SOME way visually different such as a glowing apple logo or something to that extent just so people can differeciate the old from the new (not that I want that particular feature its just an ex.)

For the 3rd time. Check how old the thread is before you reply to it.

I don't care how old it is. It talks about the next gen iMac and thats what I want to discuss. Would you rather me have started a new thread about the subject? But then you might have said "Search the forums before posting this, its been mentioned 654321 times"

No, it would have actually been okay in this case. We're only a few months out now, so a mockup thread would have been nice.

It's like our language. There are so many damn exceptions. I don't see a problem in replying to an old thread. In any event, if the mods don't like it they will close the thread.

So add a useless feature, then.

I have a few ideas for iMac redesigns, but at least one of them isn't feasible for the next change.

Please share some of your ideas! I've been snooping around these forums for a while now and a lot of people think highly of your thoughts.

Haha your probably exactly right. You can't make everyone happy.

The point is.. This thread was made when intel iMacs had already been out for a year or more. So it was already known there was never going to be a G6, which is after all what this thread was about (clue is in the thread title). So the thread is as bad now as it was back then.
Plus, being a near 2 year old thread, there are certainly later, more suitable threads you could have contributed to instead.

Still, as ever, no one knows whats coming next from Apple. Like it or not, you'll have to wait and see like the rest of us :)

have you been living under a rock?

we have been using intel for a long time now, no more PPC

EDIT

I didn't look at the date it was made
