As I mentioned previously this is noticeable in day-to-day activities. Evident in game loading screens, startup (boot selection + loading), dark websites, dark applications, videos.

I hate playing the screen lottery. Especially with a device this huge, exchanges aren't the easiest thing.
If it is noticeable in day to day use, I would return it. Why would you keep something you obviously aren't happy with?

Because it is a lottery. With other low to mid tier display manufacturers, there is a high chance that the replacement unit you get won't be better or even worse than the one you returned.

With iMacs though I think it is worth trying. Not even the Pro, but the iMac 5k 2017 I got has pretty close to prefect condition with no noticeable bleed. A friend of mine got a lemon with 2 corners extra bright and one side totally yellow, advised him to swap, then he got a perfect one next.

Well, my old Apple 27" LED Cinema Display from 2010 has no backlight bleeding.

My Asus PB279 4K display has backlight bleeding too...

Decided to exchange and while better, the backlight bleed is still there. I guess this is as good as it's going to get. But now there is a coil wine whenever I download something. Ugh I can't win.

I received my iMac Pro replacement a few days ago. Screen model is: 0000AE1F
No problems with this one.
