Trying to decide what memory combination I should order. Looking to buy an iMac 17". If I buy it with 1GB (2x512mb) and then purchase a 1GB stick on my own, can I have a 1GB stick in one slot and a 512mb in the other slot?
My guess is that won't work. Ultimate goal would be to get the machine to 2GB ram the cheapest route possible.
