I'm not really sure how you can say the demand for 2.8s are overwhelming
Apple as they have been available in every Apple store I have been to in the DC Area (Clarendon and Tysons). In fact, they keep asking me "don't you want the 2.8? We have them..." I didn't because 2.4 was enough for me, but I digress. Anyway, I know people on these forums tend to gobble up the 2.8s, but I think the general public is quite satisfied with the price of a 2.4, though maybe there is a shortage internationally or a shortage because they are all in the Apple stores, I dunno.
