I'm thinking about it, since I'm really sick of how iMob is constantly freezing and crashing...Can you give me a quick summary of the app? since it's only .99 cent, I'm on the verge of buying it

Its free, well at least thats what appsniper and appshopper say.[app]iMafia[/app] is just a bit more server stable as well as it seems to have more possivle things to do otherwise everything else is the same except for that you can earn respect (honor in imafia) points in the game actually.

Oh...I thought there was another mafia war app...I think it's on the top 10 or something, but it's there. The menu doesn't look sleek as iMob...but I guess the app will do XD

Thanks

I really don't see the appeal of either. These programs annoyed me enough when everybody on MySpace was sending me invites and posting "JOIN MY MOB LOL!!!!!!!" on bulletins all day. Probably the main reason I stopped using MySpace. Kinda sucks that it's carried over into the only forum in which I participate...

I have neither, but I believe people were complaining about iMob because it is so easy to cheat, and get billions of dollars.

Also iMob is free as far as I know.

Alright, heres my semi-comprehensive review of both apps for all of you...

GAMEPLAY:
Gameplay is IDENTICAL on both apps. It's almost scary to see how alike both apps are as far as doing missions, buying property, having a timer for regaining energy, health, etc. I'm not sure which one came out first, but whoever came second DEFINITELY ripped the gameplay off of the original. EVERYTHING is the same people, i mean EVERYTHING. The only advantage to Mafia Live, as far as I can tell, is the fact the you have the option of inviting people through their email, which gives you $10,000. Anyone whose played both games knows how difficult it can be to start out making money and accomplishing missions in the beginning, and the fact that you can make $10,000 for every person you add through email on Mafia Live definitely eases the whole thing. Another major factor which makes people want to go to Mafia Live is the fact that iMob's gameplay has been compromised. As you play iMob, you realize almost everyone you fight with is cheating. People have billions of dollars (very difficult to do legitimately). It's almost ridiculous to be playing iMob seeing that your up against a bunch of cheaters. However this is not due to only the fact that people are purposely cheating, the game itself is severely glitched. You can easily find yourself going into negative money and the funny thing is that when you have negative money, you can buy unlimited amounts of things! Although both games have identical gameplay, Mafia Live is the obvious winner in this category due to several flaws in iMob.

AESTHETICS:

WOW. That's all I can really say about Mafia Live's graphics. The game looks like absolute CRAP. It really looks like someone made it on microsoft word using Times New Roman font. I played iMob for a long time and got used to the amazing user friendly interface. Lets face it, iMob looks AWESOME! If you take a look at the screenshots for both games, you'll see exactly what I mean. However, Mafia Live does promise an update which will supposedly have the "best interface you've ever seen." It's hard to believe that a game which is completely free (iMob) has an amazing user interface and the other, which charges $3 (currently) looks like absolute crap. Also, there's a slight lag on Mafia Live which can become extremely annoying very quickly. I know iMob has its share of bugs/glitches, but the lag on Mafia Live is totally different; it's horrible!

OVERALL:
If you don't want to dish out $3 for a game you may or may not like, download iMob and determine if its something your interested in. If you are, go ahead and spend the money for the higher quality of gameplay that Mafia has, but expect a huge downgrade as far as aesthetics goes.

I like iMafia, free, reliable, and no one begging for people to join their mob (because you can't have real world people in your Mafia)

Wow. Obviously this thread is not updated at all.

Right now, iMob has a tragic flaw. You don't regain anything. It doesn't regenerate, Energy, money or Stamina. So you can do absolutely nothing. Making iMob currently USELESS. Also, iMob is extremely laggy. I haven't played a single session without experiencing lagg And its not my connection ive been to several wi-fi Hotspots and found it was the same everywhere.

Mafia Live on the other hand, Does work. And because it works, make it much more enjoyable. The UI right now is not very impressive but its going to get updated. The reason i prefer this game over the free iMob is because its a Never-Fail Version. Sure it experiences lagg, Alot of people play, But it does Rarely The game leaves you satisfied and the fight option actually... WORKS. Unlike iMob. iMob is great, if and when, it is fixed. For now, iMob is just a app that takes up space.

Oh and to the guy who said the apps are exactly the same: Of course they are. Thats the type of games they are. Same for iMafia. I say the more Apps of these sort, the better.

Mafia Live: Worth the money, you get what you pay for and it never fails on you.

Imob: Again, You get what you pay for. Which is nothing. In the future when it gets updated, this app should be working fine, But will never be quite as smooth as Mafia live. Because its Free everyone will have it, Thus the servers are going to be Hammered 24/7. Mafia live on the other hand, can control the flow much better.

The patch that killed the clock while logged off might have just killed iMob. Who wants to burn their batteries all day?

I'm giving iMafia a go. My mobster is Imp, so add me if you like (I already sent requests to those listed above).

Incidentally, one of the problems I ahd with iMob was how skewed their real estate chain was. Mathematically, it didn't make sense to purchase anything except a few empty lots and then save up for the Shopping Plaza, due to the anomalously large payoff from the Shopping Plaza. I haven't unlocked all the the real estate possibilities in iMafia yet, so I can't run the numbers on them yet. Does anybody have the full lest of the real estate chain, including price, pre-reqs and payouts?

I got paid for my first one, never had a chance for a second kill yet.

I like this app, you're strength is not dependent on "adding" codes or members instead you really have to buy/hire another mafia member.
And somehow those people in the hospital are now less frequent, it's probably because most people followed the 9th step of the tutorial
and I didn't haha. Added everyone above, my iMafia name is Rayfire, I want to see your play stats.

Sucks now cause people are trying to kill me now! But wow, I've made over 300 thousand in a couple of minutes from fights I've won, I assume...

You guys realize adding people in imafia doesn't do anything right?

Great game btw ....

Yup, I just want to see other players' stats, especially the ones with the same level as mine
