Yup, I just want to see other players' stats, especially the ones with the same level as mine

Ahh well one thing that got me sick of the other "mafia" type games was threads flooded with requests for membership instead of actually discussing the game.

I'm level 10 and just bought a gas station ... seems the key to this game is making cash. Wish I was a mogul but too late to change now :-/

1.1 is out

Also to keep this thread from getting locked this thread is about iMafia only and not iMob or iMafia Live

I'm saving for my second hotel ... people keep attacking me though :-(

So.... 1.Whats the deal with earning Honor points?
2.Why does the police station turn red? Does that something to do with the hit list? If no...
3.Why is there never anyone on the hitlist?

Is there a guide or FAQ where I can answer these questions myself? I can't seem to find one. Thanx.

It's like real time

Just started playing 3-4 days ago and it's addicting. It's nice how you can't do so many missions at one time and you have to wait to regain ur energy. In real life you wouldn't be able to rob or so crimes right after another. You would atleast wait a day or so especially for big jobs such as robbing a mall or bank. But the one thing I don't like is, how much a new mafia member costs. I'm on level 16 and da nxt mafia member costs $125,000.00. But I guess that's pennies to how much drug smugglng and bank robberies u can do. My goal is to be one of the top income earners. Thanks for reading, I would say add me but I wanna see how far I can go on my own. I'm gonna go and rob a bank or something.

Ps...to all that don't know already, u can go to police station at any time in keep hittng refresh, there will always be someone on the hitlist. So far I haven't gotten rewarded.

  1. Honor points system is diabled for the moment.
  2. It means there is someone on the hitlist (though if you go into the policestation the hit is most likely already accomplished, see point 3).
  3. Everyone keeps spamming resfresh to look for new hits. Imagine hundreds, maybe thousands of players doing the same. So as soon as they appear they get taken down.

New updates to imafia ... have to have 1 mob member for every 5 properties ....

Thanks for the heads up, never got that message yet when buying properties so I think I'm under the limit still. How come they never said that on the app description for the update

Adding friends doesn't do anything

You have a much better shot of attaining the the top leaderboard spot in fights if you add friends that are just starting out, then fight them whenever you can. You can find these users in the Police station, BTW. But if you're not careful, those same friends can put a bounty on your head.

I think you're much better off spending all your money on getting to the next quest level versus spending money on property. The rate of return for the amount of time is so much greater if you spend your time on quests. In other words, you can earn much more money if you spend your time only on quests. Fights and real estate don't pay. Thoughts?

Leaderboard

I'm in the top 6 of the highest income! :p

Sucks now cause people are trying to kill me now! But wow, I've made over 300 thousand in a couple of minutes from fights I've won, I assume...

Thanks for the tip, I'm in the top 5 for Bounty kills and I'm sure my time is coming. My strategy, tips and tricks are on eBay.

Not true at all -- properties can definitely be VERY profitable

I think you're much better off spending all your money on getting to the next quest level versus spending money on property. The rate of return for the amount of time is so much greater if you spend your time on quests. In other words, you can earn much more money if you spend your time only on quests. Fights and real estate don't pay. Thoughts?

It's true only for a short time at the beginning of the game. But even then, as you progress properties begin to payoff so much more than the others that being anything other than a Mogul is a complete waste.

For the beginning of the game put all your points to energy. Keep doing this until you have 96 energy, which works out to about level 29. That way you'll have a full 8 hours of energy, so you don't waste any while sleeping. The energy comes back at 5 minutes per point, so 8 hours divide by 5 minutes is 96.

Next thing you need to know: never use the bank. Let me repeat: NEVER USE THE BANK. If you have money left over just put it into buying properties.

The way to buy properties is simple: just do basic math. The more of a property you have, the more it costs to buy, so if you can save up and buy bulk, but that's not _that_ important. You just want to focus on increasing your hourly income.

So, say you have 6 million bucks. You could buy a Luxury Estate for 5 million, which makes 50k per hour, or you could buy 2 strip malls for 4 million, which will make you 50k. Clearly you want to buy the strip malls. Basically you just keep buying the item that has the best cost / earning ratio, until something else becomes more profitable (because the price inceases as you buy more).

You can fight others, but you only steal 10 percent of what they hold, which usually isn't going to be more than 50-500k per fight.

Right now, I have 96 energy, so every 8 hours I do 3 and bit Smuggling by Sea jobs which makes 450-800k per job. So that's about 6 million a day (rough average). My hourly income with properties is currently 750k per hour, which is 18 million.

So as you can see properties vastly outweight jobs, which vastly outweighs fights. I'd like to hear from a high level Brawler, maybe I'm wrong -- I just know I never hold enough money to let others make a decent profit from beating me up, but maybe I'm in the minority?

I also consider myself to still be a n00b at the game... I'm only level 30, and feel I'm just scratching the surface of what the game has to offer.

imafia is much more fun

Its all strategy, there is no stupid advantage for losers with no life sitting there adding thousands of mafia members or hacking the game like iMob. iMafia you gotta work for your mob members and weapons.

overall much more fun, little lag on every click but well worth it

Agreed. I've tried pretty much all of the mafia variants, and iMafia is my fave, precisely for those reasons. I don't wanna trade friend codes or any of that crap -- basically the other games like iMob have taken what could have been a good strategy game into nothing more than a popularity contest.

I hate Mafia Live... the only reason I still play is because I'm level 62 earning like 3 billion an hour. It's hard to walk away. I also hate the fact that you have to buy loyalty points with real money.

I actually prefer Mafia Wars a lot more... they claim to be the 'original' that everyone copied off of. The interface is way better and my only complaint is that there's a limited amount of properties and weapons so the game feels short. You earn LP's naturally and can buy them as well.

I'm really sick of all these vampire, undead, zombie etc knock-offs of the mafia games. There must be 15 mafia wars style games with 15 zombie/undead/vampire variations each. It's the same game...
