iMovie -VS- Final Cut Express

well i been using iMovie 4 since last year and found it very good for editing for a novice like myself , but i find once you have masterd the iMovie app you want to progress onto better things ie FCE . i am currently getting to grips with FCE but i find it very slow leaning the edits on it, i am sure it is by far much better then iMovie but need to now how to use the dam thing .
so ask me in a years time whats best .
