In-Box Power cord used when exactly?

I always use the add on cord. IMO plugging the whole "brick" into the ac outlet is lame. Not to mention the added cord length makes it just the right length.

But the brick without the extension cord is soooo cute!!! Just seeing it with the plug folded in and the cable wrapped around the back makes me appreciate how much better I am than people who own Dells.
