Nope, once you ordered it you can not change the delivery method. What you can do is order again for instore pickup and cancel this one.... I am thinking about it cause i got the 512 max but i want the 256 and best buy has every config for 21st in store pickup...

Word of caution. U.S. retailers are subject to the Reseller Flex Policy, meaning they sell "unactivated" SIM-less iPhones, which will lock the phone to the initial SIM inserted. Use a Verizon SIM card to ensure you maintain an unlocked device. Look up Reseller Flex Policy to learn more.

Well I sure hope that people who arrive at their scheduled time take precedence over someone showing up early! I chose 8-8:30 to get in, out and home to be able to sign for the phone and watch being delivered that day. If people with later appts show up and bump me I'm gonna have a red-headed temper tantrum!
Just understand there's a separate line for in-store pickups and time windows are pretty irrelevant on launch day. I doubt the staff will rearrange people who show up at opening time simply because their the time window they selected was 9AM instead of 8AM. Also worth keeping in mind that this year is less busy for a multitude of reasons.

If they charge the night before pick up and our card get turned down because of suspicious activity will they let us use a different card or clear with the same card in the morning or are we SOL?

I've only ordered for delivery before and I was always given about 24hrs to update payment method. But normally I was also charged the Sunday before delivery so I guess there was time to update it.

Call card company letting them know you will be charging $XXXX.XX in the next week (or night before 9/21) and to not block or flag it. That's what I did.

I tried that and they said there's nothing they can do... But that I should be fine since it isn't that crazy of a purchase.

Have you used the same card for previous multi-hundred dollar purchases from Apple (or any other online store, for that matter)? When transactions get flagged and declined, a number of factors come into play including previous spending patterns. If so, you should be safe.

No. You’ll get notified to change your payment

That’s good to know about Apple Pay. Glad I used it.

I feel gypped. It wasn't even an option when I ordered at 9AM! I tried to use that option, but it just wasn't working. So I moved on.

So what was that about? Not that I really care. So lame......

That’s not true at least for me. I used Apple Pay for phone and watch and was charged in the morning for both. I was still in “order being processed” at the time. I am having mine shipped.

That’s what happened to me last year with them, That’s what most company’s do

Looks like I got charged last night. Just happy it didn’t kick back from some fraud detection.
