i didn't like this case at all. It was way too tight....Awful.

It took some 'force' to get it on..just Imagine this!

I mean, what's the point? Just because there's a shortage of dedicated cases.

I warned you.

Yeah, it's pretty annoying Amazon doesn't ship a lot of things to Europe, i tried ordering a speck case there. Then i emailed speck to ask how much shipping would be for one of those (super lightweight) see thru cases that fit around your macbook or so. The thing costs 40 dollars, and so does the shipiing, so that would be 80 dollars! are they crazy or something. So I just ordered through apple store belgium, where it cost me around 65... geez

Yeah this case does seem pretty tight...

Yup. It was way too much force than I was comfortable with when trying to slip my MBA into it.

I got a Fabrix sleeve instead. I highly recommend it. It fits my Air like a glove.

I had tried it out in a store as well, with a demo machine- it does seem sort of tight for the entire thing to fit in and be closed- but I think that I was doing something wrong, surely a company must have tested their products before launching it!?

You'd be surprised at the things that can be ignored for the sake of into market time. I'm sure they tested it, but to alter things could have been proven to delay shipping the product.

For that matter, there are very few accessories out there for the Macbook Air and it's kinda sucks.

I bought this case and love it. Yes it's a tight fit but it's good! Better than being loosy goosy! The trick is to get one corner over at a time. You have to remember it's neoprene it's made to stretch so don't be afraid to! :D

Bought one a couple days ago - I really like the tight fit. I don't like having a laptop float around in a case.

Worth noting that the empty case is about the same size as the MBA itself... we've hit the point where the computer is about the same thickness as two sheets of velour-lined neoprene. 8^)

it's a bit of a stretch to get the second corner on, but it wraps nicely, and protects fully. Me likey!

We'll see what I think when my Manilamac arrives....

Guys, i really want one of these cases but cant get it anywhere in the UK. Is there any chance that someone could purchase one for me from their local Apple Store and i would pay for it straight away through Paypal? You could even stick it on Ebay and i would get it from there.

Hope someone can help me. Thanks

Fits great, but stinks

Just got mine and it is just fine. Sure it is a little tight, but my past experience with Neoprene cases is that they will stretch out a bit over time.

I ordered it directly from Incase, the second time I have made this mistake. I had previously purchased one of the sling backpacks directly from them and it seems that anything coming from there warehouse smells. A really bad chemical smell almost like insecticide. :(

I picked this slipcase up in the San Francisco Stockton store. It is a tight fit, but I don't really mind. That's better than loose-fitting. Takes up less room in your bag too. And, yes, it will stretch out over time like OJ's glove! :D

I found this case at an Apple Store tonight. I didn't have my MBA with me, but one of the employees put one of the demo Airs into the case, being careful not to pull off the security alarm sensor.

I decided to pass because while it's fairly easy to put the case on, it was kind of difficult to remove it. That's probably fine for a lot of people, but I need a case that I can easily remove.

case

I went with:

http://goincase.com/products/detail/13-nylon-sleeve-cl57058

Got it in silver. I like it because it has soft furry inner layer, has some inside pockets for pens and stuff, and the outside pocket will hold the power adaptor and small notebook.

Its true you lose some wow factor walking around vs a sleeve. For a while I was using a simple black notepad folder as a sleeve (you know the kind with a notepad on one side and slots for pens and cards on the other side with a zipper around the edges?), and that still works fine as a ten dollar option. But I didn't really like not having a shoulder strap or the power adaptor with the sleeves, so I bought proper case. Its still small and cool tho! Maybe some decals or something will spice it up, I dunno..

Sleave Works Fine...

I just picked this up at the Apple Store today.
It works fine. I wanted to find a reason why some folks were having a issue with it. It does come with a small white foam pad that needs to be removed. I first removed it and slid in the MBA. No problem. Then I put the pad in and tried it. All sorts of issues.

Another great Incase product. I really like there stuff. They seem to just get it.

Seems to me like there's money to be made for an entrepreneurial American here.. I just checked out eBay, and there no one selling this sleeve there. I know I want one, but it's impossible to buy them outside the US.. :(

I'm almost positive the foam pad was still in the case when I tried it on Saturday night. I just assumed it was stitched into the case.

I think the case is great. The first few days it was quite a stretch to get the end over the corners. With the way it is stretching now, I'm actually a little concerned that it will no longer fit as snug in a few weeks.
