92% complete now, still a ways to go considering indexing has been going for more than a week already.

I updated to iOS 27 on my iPhone 17 on Sunday night, today being Tuesday I never saw the message "indexing in progress" in my settings app.
you will, have patience. My 17pm took 3 full days before the message appeared in settings- I updated Monday at 3p, Indexing message appeared Thursday at 3p and today is still going (82%)

My iPhone 17 Pro Max was on a magsafe charger last night. Console read 95% last night before bed and 95% this morning still. My iPad mini on the other hand was 85% before bed, plugged in overnight, and is fully complete (Console also read 100%).

Interesting. I went from 44% to 95% overnight. My assumption is that it isn't a real time count and that it only updates after large chunks of data is indexed.

Still indexing for me, iPhone 16 Pro Max 1 TB , after 28 hours or more. New Siri is not installed..

This indexing I was not observed when i upgraded to i OS 26.

just saw this on 9to5Mac and found out mine is at 89%

i have followed these instructions cannot see any results
instructions say to open settings on iphone which shows 'indexing in progress'- is this all i need to do?
Also, i see scrolling of many results when i hit start- are people hitting the pause button to locate the results?
Thanks much for any help for those that have gotten this to work. Much appreciated!

Per the instructions you need to search for spotlight indexing progress first.

95% for me, will probably finish overnight tonight. I don't have access to Siri yet, I installed on last Tuesday evening.
This is what annoys me about Apple: why hide the damn percentage on the iPhone if they have an idea of what’s left to go. If they just showed this on the progress screen, then everyone would be happy. At least then we can see it's working and getting on with it.

So after checking, my 17 PM that started indexing last Tuesday is now at 69%, so at this rate, another few days at least unless B2 ends up restarting it instead of continuing.

I'm at 87% after 7 days. I think mine has been slowed down because of my distressingly high email count. Checking the console info has been fascinating; it shows maild pulling and clearing email body content for spotlight indexing.

Also interesting to see that the new Siri is referenced as Linwood.

98% here, so I guess my phone should finish up some time today, or one would think.

My iPad finished up days ago.

my 15 Pro is currently at 95% completion and my 13 mini is at 55% completion. Looks like it will be awhile before indexing will be complete on my 13 mini.

EDIT: my 11 inch iPad Pro M5 is currently at 95% completion.

You will not see the results on your iPhone, but on the Console’s line:

Preferences > PipelineCompleteness: X%

There are lots of dynamically populating lines of all sorts, so the easiest way to find it is to pause search and then search for “PipelineCompleteness” in the same Console’s search field where you put “spotlight indexing progress” just before.

Thank you! The instructions on 9to5 weren't clear! They should have said you need to pause and then search for pipeline completeness as well. Im at 95%
