Infuse has a sound bug.

if I activate background playback and start a music video and leave the app.

you can hear in the background that the sound is distorted (so for 1 sec long).

all videos have these problems and use everything locally.

Hmm, sorry about that.

Can you drop us a quick note with a few more details about what you are seeing?

Will Infuse ever have subfolder support?

I bet not.
This is something we may look into for the future, but if I'm honest we don't get a lot of requests for this, especially considering the numerous improvements to the Library browsing feature we've added in the past few months.

Yes sure. Here the sound bug. You and other user can test it yourself. The bug is always reproducible.

1. Open Infuse and activate background playback (see in settings)
2. Tap on the function "Add Files" -> "via Documents"
3. Select music video or other videos, where you have a sound
4. Play the video and leave the app
5. Sound is distorted (so for 1 sec long)

No luck replicating that issue here. :(

Are you able to send in a quick report from your device?

I have a details forget. Please activate PiP playback. Everyone can clearly see how the play button in the PiP playback stutters for a short moment. Right here when it happens the sound is distorted.

Here 2 more bugs:
1. If I use PiP playback then the animation bar in the PiP window is not synchronized with the real playback time.
It runs extremely fast and starts again in a few seconds.

2. When use fast forward or rewind gestures function in Infuse app during PiP playback. Then the PiP window will be closed. This is annoying, please try to fix this gesture function for PiP playback.

I see that Infuse is able to play Ultra-HD-Blu-ray, BD and DVD folders, and also images.

Can you explain this part? First we need to decrypt to a hard drive, then create an image (or simply upload the folders to Infuse for iOS)?

Or do you mean Infuse is playing the original discs from the PC BD-drive?

I am asking this because I never saw a player (for iOS) that could do such a thing... only in my PC I found players capable of playing all three, whether from the original discs inside the drives or folders created by AnyDVD (in my hard-drive) or other software.

I didn't think that was possible with iOS, and we had at best to create a Matroska file (lossless). *

* Which doesn't solve anything since we will lose menus and some contents that can't be converted to MKV, such as photo galleries, that need to be accessed from the disc.

Infuse is able to play backed up, unencrypted UHD Blu-ray files (ISO or BDMV).

These can be transferred to your iOS device, or streamed from another source.

Playing physically discs from a Blu-ray drive is not supported. Sorry.

Thanks for your report.

We're reviewing the details you provided, and should be in touch soon.
why was the bug report deleted from the infuse forum? can't find it anymore and ticket (
Id #107011)
support has not been answered for more than 1 week.

I ask again, why are functions implemented that have bugs. these bugs are very obvious, so what's the point?

why don't I get a decent answer to the message?

I can see in the release notes since Infuse 5.0 supports PiP playback, but with errors.

5.0 (iOS) released 2016-11-21
NEW

  • Native Split View & PiP

I don't have the infuse 5.0 version. but this bug looks so obvious and I assume this bug has been around for almost 2 years.

Infuse 5.8.4 with a heap of fixes and improvements is now available.

https://firecore.com/releases

Enjoy! :)
Not fixed. no reply received. My friend post the bug in infuse forum now.

https://web.archive.org/web/20181001201834/https://firecore.com/forum/topic/21734

I find a cheek in the release notes to constantly talk about
  • Many other minor improvements
  • Other minor fixes
  • minor fixes
  • Many other minor fixes

but in reality it's a lie. this is nothing more than a dummy (marketing). have a look at the realease notes, in every version (since version 3.4), this same message. but in reality there's nothing behind it.

I delete infuse app and will never use it again.

my experiences are clear.
the support is terrible and implemented functions from the beginning with many of bugs.
I found more than 4 bugs for PiP playback alone. the bugs are known for a long time and have been reported.

even Apple iTunes Store App (iOS) can play normal trailer videos without these problems.
Although no video player app like Infuse app.

I see your ticket is currently pending, and we are investigating what may be going on in your case.

This doesn't seem to be a very common issue, but we will see what we can do to resolve it.

Thanks for your patience.

please answer in the infuse forum and not by ticket, so that everyone knows. I will only provide further details or needed information in the infuse forum.
I first published 1 of 4 bugs.

if you are really working on it, otherwise I will let the infuse subscription expire and will not extend it any longer.

One thing I find (on tvOS) is that the Plex refresh takes a long time, native app has instant updates. Bug or Plex?

Edit: See now there is also infuse thread in tvOS forum, would delete if I could!

Has infuse in any of the 5.X versions received an update to improve Google Drive support?

I have a few accounts that also share files from other accounts.

It works like this:

Account #1, let's say it's from infuse@gmail.com.

It has 15 GB of (free) contents in it.

Then I create a 2nd account: firecore@gmail.com , which shares a file called apple.mkv with the 1st, infuse@gmail.com.

I can see apple.mkv in both accounts.

Each account has "my drive" (which means = files stored inside them), and "shared with me", which are files like this apple.mkv.

The problem with infuse for iOS (at least when I checked in an old version) was that shared files were invisible in ANY account. You can only see files uploaded to each account, separately.

This would be easily solved if I add the two accounts to infuse: infuse@gmail.com and firecore@gmail.com.

However it's not possible if you don't own accounts that are sharing files with YOU.

88K8xaS.jpg

Or if you have dozens of different accounts sharing with a single one.

Which means infuse has to have some sort of support for shared files. This can be implemented (if it's not there already), I already seen in an app.

Note: with this possibility implemented I would only have to inform the credentials for a single GOOGLE DRIVE account: in the image above, it would be the one in grey. All other black circles represent files (contents) that can be seen in the "grey" account.

It's just that infuse doesn't work like this and you need to inform the login/password from all these circles, grey and black.

The upcoming 5.9 update will include an all-new Google Drive integration with support for shared folders and Team Drives.

More info on what else is coming in 5.9 can be found here.
