Although it's not optimal walking around with a tablet, game play was alright. Not much in my area but was able to capture two neutral portals for the Resistance. I'll take my N7 with me when I go downtown later today and see if I can cause some trouble.
Capture the flag was mentioned as a way to describe the game and on the micro or individual level, that may be true. But since you want to link portals to capture large areas, on the macro level, it reminds me of Risk with the complication of each army or piece having to communicate with the others to be effective.
