Install DP5 at Developer Preview (Consumer Beta)

EDIT: Ignore that...looks like the notification that you're changing the volume no longer works. Sound still works though otherwise.

Go to System Preferences, Sound, and check the box that requests feedback when adjusting the sound. It's a new "wood knock" sound.

EDIT: Should have finished reading the forum, someone else beat me to it.

I can't upgrade PB 1 to DP 5 as well!!!!!

And some apps that I use frequently are really buggy in PB 1 ...:(

It won't. The Public Beta looks at a different software update catalog than the developer previews.

The updater doesn't change the software update catalog URL. Technically, you're running some hybrid non-DP/non-public beta combination which makes beta testing unreliable.
 
Someone will discover the URL for the DP6 version of OSXUpd10.10.pkg at some point. Let's just hold tight until then!
 
Hmm, there was a link posted here but it's been deleted!

Anyway, downloaded, updated. Gone from PB1 to DP5 to DP6.

Did you go from PB1 to DP5 Delta or FULL? I am trying to find where I can download DP5 so I can upgrade my PB1 as well.

PB1 to DP5 delta, then DP5 to DP6 delta.

There were links to both DP5 and DP6 deltas in this thread but they've been deleted :(

Yeah my finder no longer works. It opens a blank window. Any fix? :confused:

I went the same path, PB1 -> DP5 delta -> DP6 delta and I have no problems with the Finder or anything else that I've noticed so far. All of the bugs I had noted in DP5 seem to have been fixed.
 
While I was hoping to return to this thread to download the DP5 link I'll admit I'm dissapointed it's gone. Having said that I JUST installed the PB last night having had the invite email since the day it was released. I was debating hard whether or not to install it and finally bit the bullet. I have to say it's running like a champ on my '09 MBP.
 
The direct link for DP6?
I am not not going to post it here because obviously it will be deleted, but you can find it in 5 seconds using Google.
