Did the AirPods firmware change?

Settings -> General -> About -> AirPods

Current version is 3.3.1

Battery life seems degraded significantly in this beta. Previous 6 hours usage now becomes less than 3 hours. The culprit remains to be seen.

Mine has also dropped significantly, though personally it's still not as bad.

Now I must carry battery pack when out cause it will go from 100 to 13 in just two hours. Happened this morning for me. Perhaps because I was taking lots of photos and constantly keeping VPN connection but still horrible.

Which VPN do you use? It may be the culprit.

I use VPN unlimited. That one is among a few of them still useable in China.

Probably the GFW is actively trying to block it or something, and that might cause the VPN to be continuously working in the background. I'm not too sure though, if I were you I'd use Tor, but there's no system-wide Tor available for iOS.
Maybe the next beta will fix up things. Just maybe...

GFW will always try to actively block VPN in China as far as I know.
But battery wise, I hope next version could be better. Let's hope this. For me the problem is: if I don't use VPN, even macrumors has a chance to load half way before being able to do anything.

I thought it was me not setting it correctly (volume low or similar) but I've noticed it on the iPad mini 4 and iPhone 7+ lately.

Are you having issues while on 5GHz, 2.4GHz or both?
My home router is 2.4GHz only and outside I ocasionaly run the test. No, the problem is not the router because this never happen with iOS 10 and 10.1.

Apple doesnt go back to normal till Tuesday so nothing today maybe tomorrow or wend

What keyboard lag is this referring to? I'm just curious as I've not experienced this. Third party keyboards?

I still face a load of weird issues when using third party keyboards, so I think it's not referring to that.

What kind of crashes? Is it continuous (preventing normal usage) or periodical?

It has only happened just now. The grey spinning icon on a black screen, then my passcode required. Hasn't happened before though I've only had my iPhone a week. I do have Siri and spotlight searches disabled.

I've had a couple of those happening very occasionally on iOS 10.1. Not sure why it's happening on 10.2.1, but I haven't had it since upgrading. Do you have Outlook installed?

Ugh. My battery life has been terrible since the most recent beta, as well audio randomly stops playing, especially when on Bluetooth... It's gotten so bad that I'm DFU'ing back to the latest stock build... :-( nHaven't done that in awhile, but I don't think I can wait till the 10.3 which is supposed to be out the 10th or so.

iPhone 7+, iPad Pro 9.7
