Well this was unexpected. Anyone know if anything changes? Such a small bug fix update so I doubt it.

iOS team lead sleep in today?
Sometimes releases happen around 1 PM (rather the more typical 10 AM) Pacific. And then there are some occasional important or more urgent type of releases that happen pretty much at any time that they are ready to go (like there have been some at a later time in the day or even on a Friday or Saturday).

I have a feeling this is final release, which would explain a Thursday release. 10.2 final was released on a Friday for Dev & Public Beta users and then the following Tuesday for everyone else.

I hope it won't be the final release. The iPad Air 2 orientation lock issue is very annoying, plus the stutter with some apps since iOS 10.0.0 (Clash of Clans, etc.)
There will likely be more iOS 10 updates.

I think this bug will be fixed on iOS 11 .

Gotta be in it to win it
Seems like a bug was fixed in safari on the iPhone for macrumors where tapping in the hamburger icon to select a forum previously required a double tap, now a single tap is needed.

Can't say I've experienced that issue. Just tried it out on iPhone 7 running iOS 10.2 and it seems to be working as expected (with just one tap).

I mean the last iOS 10.2.1 beta. iOS 10.3 beta will come after this is what I'm predicting. Apple usually only releases later in week when they are getting ready for public release...

It's been like that for a while, even through reboots.

For me, Safari is definitely smoother than the last beta. I usually don't care about that stuff, but I did notice it.

I kept getting this when using the app store and safari. It seems they fixed whatever was causing it because it affected all my third party keyboards including Swiftkey.

Regarding the seemingly widespread assumption I see around these parts all the time that the file size of any given delta update necessarily and directly corresponds to "how much" they changed. Or namely "this update is only ___ MBs so obviously nothing has changed that we will notice" ...

This CAN (potentially) be a misleading assumption. For instance, there could be a memory leak or otherwise faulty stray line of code somewhere that the engineers track down and the fix or clean up could technically either be only a few MBs (or KBs) - however, it might translate into a very noticeable increase in battery life in the real world. This is only one possible/plausible example out of many theoretical scenarios but I just thought I'd point that out.

Obviously one can assume that a delta update of under 50-100MBs probably doesn't pack many big exciting new "features", but to just write it off completely as if there could be nothing that would or could impact the UI/UX is probably a bit naive IMHO. Apple notoriously doesn't give very detailed change logs however their products (arguably) work and evolve more smoothly than many other competing OS's and hardware.

That said, a small update obviously could also mean that almost nothing changed that the end user should perceive under everyday usage. But this shouldn't be the only line of thinking.

I really don't want to wait one year to see this crazy bug fixed!
