Tapping on the center of the screen very quickly while a folder is closing no longer causes the folder to reappear. Had previously been there since iOS 10.0

Well, while it no longer causes the folder to reappear, any app that was in the location of where you tapped will still open due to the closing animation being incomplete if you tap fast enough while the folder is closing.

Is the status bar display lag still present? You can see it at the 8 second mark of the video. Note that the app has to be freshly opened and not been previously minimized in order to reproduce the lag.

That's never going to be fixed. Apple has had status bar issues since iOS 8 I believe... maybe even iOS 7.

What I'm saying is that this has been fixed for me in this beta. Are you running beta 2?

Yes, I am. Like I mentioned, the folder doesn't reappear but if there's an app icon that was in the location of where you tapped while the folder was closing, the app icon that was tapped will cause the app to open regardless if the folder was in the process of closing due to the animation being incomplete, however the folder won't reappear.

I understand, but that is not happening with me.

Update: a carrier settings update was pushed separately that seems to have fixed the issue.
to 28.3? or a higher number? I just checked mine (which usually triggers an update) and it just stayed at 28.3 (don't recall if it was lower before).
