How you like the new 10.3 on your 6S, guys?
Is it smoother or slower than 10.2/10.2.1?

It's a little bit smoother but it's slower than ios 10.2.1 .. after 1 week of testing .. Battery it's same as 10.2.1 ..

Before I updated, my 6s+ sometimes did not automatically connect via Bluetooth to my car radio. Since the update however it has connected every time I switch the radio on.
Hopefully this will continue.

I have read and watched so many mixed opinions and tests, that I feel a bit confused how 10.3 actually performs compared to 10.2.. I saw that on 10.3 there is a slight delay on app start, which doesn't exist on 10.2

Honestly, the 6S runs everything so fast, I wouldn't even notice a difference in speed increase.
Even my old 5 is still pretty strong, but last time I've used it I noticed a couple of lags, nothing catastrophic.
Did notice a much quicker boot time though, thanks to APFS.

All great here. Why don't you try it yourself while you can still downgrade to 10.2.1 if you feel the need? Then you will know for yourself whether you like it or not. For the record, its been running great on my 6S starting from beta 1.

Because I think 10.2.1 is already slower than 10.2 which I am still on..

I notice a few hiccups in performance but it seems stable. When I power off the phone and turn it back on, 10.3 automatically begins on my second page of icons instead of he home screen. Not sure why it would do that.

does anyone have the same behavior. I used to be able to put on air plane mode to force wifi calling. sometimes it works. then just dies off once I take it out of air plane mode wifi calling will come back. this is with a clean install. I didn't have this issue with 10.2.1. anyone else experience this?

We updated one of our 6s's to 10.3

Home button aside, it runs just as fast as my iPhone 7 on 10.3

Opening apps, scrolling etc is indistinguishable between 6s and 7...The "experience" is the same

I'll have to get back to you re: battery

Initial indications however, are it is unchanged (so far, for us)

Hi thanks for your answer yeah compared to any ios 10 iteration i assume it is pretty much unchanged too but what about ios 9.3.5? any impressions?

yesterday I had very light usage and I was at 30% at 5pm. I'm normally at 45-55% then with far more usage. On Friday I got the 20% power left notice at about 5pm, and there was minimal usage that day. When I check where battery usage has been, it says 39% Safari and 17% Home/Lock Screen. I'm not constantly on Safari. And I can't fathom how the battery can be so used by opening up my phone to swipe down for updates. Home/Lock shouldn't be very high.

Seems faster but I don't measure. Seems very smooth. Battery life seems as good or better.

Oh, well I don't think so but I suppose if its a few milliseconds slower (which I doubt because of optimizations and APFS which is optimized for less latency) is more important than security fixes and other bug fixes and increased storage space then I guess maybe don't update. Certainly you cannot go back to 10.2. But I have yet to see anyone say 10.3 is slower on any device even 5 and 5s much less the 6s. Peruse the other threads pertaining to 10.3 as there are lots of other posts there regarding it.

The battery life appeared to be similar. More or less the same, I would say.

I should make note that: the iPhone 6s running iOS 9 is older (purchased release day) whereas the 6s running iOS 10 was purchased earlier this year, so the one running iOS 10 may have a better battery in it.

Both lasted the day, neither users are heavy/power users however they do watch videos, have Bluetooth on and surf the internet.

One good thing about iOS 10.3 is it seems to have freed up an extra ~2-3GB of space (on the 128GB 6s running iOS 10) so that is something to consider.

Again, performance is identical to my 7. Identical.

That doesnt mean you or others aren't having battery problems. That kind of thing just seems to happen for some people. We perhaps lucked out. For us, battery life is strong and both are getting a full day of use which is all that is needed.

On an iPhone 6s 64GB, my battery life has been poor until I disabled JavaScript in Safari. By doing that, though, many websites no longer render.

When I arrive home during the work week, my battery is:
  1. 55-60% on iOS 10.3
  2. 80-85% on iOS 10.2.1
By disabling JavaScript in Safari, I am back to iOS 10.2.1 runtime. Last weekend, I did a test starting around 8am. I had JavaScript disabled for a few days. I enabled it and surfed for about an hour, after which Safari showed as the top user of battery at 68%.

For the record, this is an upgraded phone, not a wipe clean. I am in the camp that this should not matter in the slightest.

Battery is equal for me. 10.3 6S updated via OTA. my biggest issue is the choppy animations and freezing of some apps. In some respects, the OS is smoother...but over all it isnt as finished as 10.2.1...BUT that could all be due to not updating clean. Generally I'll only do that with big releases...not incremental updates.

Both my wife and my 6s Iphones are running great on 10.3. Initially it appeared as though battery life was going to suffer. However, after a days usage it has improved to where I feel it is equal to or greater than previous version. On the other hand, my 5s has taken a definite hit on performance, particularly browsing on facebook.
