My 6S stutters a lot in app switcher, when i slide into widgets and in apps like instagram, snapchat, youtube, even settings. It seems that there are only a few 6Ss affected by this, there is a thread somewhere with all the problems 6S users have encountered. I feel like it's going to take a few months to fix this.

Anyway, after the previous problem with the phone shutting down at 30% battery and now this, I honestly feel like 900 euros is a disgraceful price for a not so premium service.

Constant "page has been reloaded" in safari, little worse battery than 10.2.1. Clicking the power button to lock screen, I see a very fast glimpse of the hello welcome screen of a newly restored iPhone. DFU restore still the same going back to 10.2.1

10.3.1 has been better for me. 10.3 had some stuttering and weird glitches on startup. Seems to have settled down.

So you say - 10.3.1 is already much more ahead in terms of speed than 10.3/10.2?
If so, I am going to update ...

Guys, how is going with iOS 10.3.1 on your 6S? Is there still any lag and/or stutter?

Absolutely 0 issues for me.

Others seem to be having issues however.

I will say:

1) compared to my iPhone 7 on 10.3.1, the iPhone 6s on 10.3.1 runs identical in speed and opening apps for pretty much everything. Only difference in speed is due to physical vs software home button detection. Naturally the software "virtual" home button of the 7 is faster, this is a pure mechanical cause and not indicative of the processing power of these devices. A9 and A10 are both extremely capable chips with very high performance in 2017.

2) so as I mentioned speed on 6s is anecdotally the same as 7 from what I've noticed. However we have another 6s on 9.3.5; This 6s is the perfect build. It has a more responsive taptic engine than the other 6s OR my 7 have. It also runs marginally quicker than both the 7 and 6s do on iOS 10.

***But*** this is a negligible difference in every sense of the definition of the word. Yes it's "smoother" and a bit quicker, a bit faster on iOS 9 but it's barely noticeable. Like you have to look critically look for it and put the other 6s and 7 next to it side by side to see Any difference and it is barely noticeable. iOS 10 has slightly faster animations and some apps open a bit faster on it, some apps opened faster on iOS 9.

Again, milliseconds at best speed difference. It is negligible and won't impact anyone using their device daily, from app to app to app.

So if you're on the fence to upgrade, I honestly believe it is only a net positive. If you're on iOS 9 for a specific reason (I.e. you prefer slide to unlock) then It is your prerogative to stick to it. It is a bit smoother (vs both iPhone 6s/7 on 10.3.1) in some areas and a bit slower in others, but overall it's negligible.

This all shows me more and more that I have to stay where I am now- on 10.2...
Dude, update to 10.3.
Resisting the upgrade but APFS is tempting.
Upgrade. Seriously. Stop staying on an insecure version of iOS. It will seriously bite you in the butt later on. Plus, iOS 10 adds lots and lots of new features and is incredibly stable. So yeah, just upgrade. You'll thank yourself later on if you do.

Almost unusable? Sounds like there's something more going on there.

My phone stutters even in Settings, been like this since I updated to 10.3. Before that i had no issues at all.

Looks like I'm not the only one though, so I'm hoping Apple is aware of these problems with Iphone 6s. My Ipad Air 1 is doing great on 10.3 though.

I'm a happy camper my 5S, mini 2, and 7 are doing great every moment of use. I also hv no issues with my home button. Can someone tell me what 10.3.1 has fix? Is it to minimal to update small increments?

I've heard 10.3.1 speeds the devices up even more, but I haven't personally tested it.
Still hesitant to try it out...

You pretty much know the differences between the versions based on being on the forum here, so ultimately it's up to you whether or not you want to stay with what you have or upgrade to the latest.

I dislike how people say a firmware from not long ago is all of a sudden insecure and useless and bug ridden and intolerable.

And the latest version is the golden one, until a .1 release then rinse repeat

Some versions are ok some are crap. Fixing stuff breaks stuff sometimes.

All iOS is insecure. CIA has plenty of 0day backdoors

Anything connected to the internet is insecure.
