I have been running this beta on my iPhone 6 Plus all day now, and these are my results. I charged my phone just before I left work about 4 hours ago. Most of my activity has been social media, on the battery eating Facebook app. Very impressed so far for a beta build!

It's actually better than 9.3.2, but I think I had some app or SOMETHING that was draining my battery ridiculously.

Installed it on a 5s at 5am ..... It was at 100% when I took it off the charger. It's 4pm and I'm at 93% with minimal usage. That's actually great..... I'm about to stress it out and see what kind of losses it incurs.

My battery is taking a right kicking! Was 100% when I woke up this morning about 9am. Had to top it up at about 4pm as it was on about 5%. Photos seems to be doing something in the background, even with no apps running...

don't feel like screen shooting it but the phone battery life is significantly reduced and the watch (until today for some odd reason) is the same. The first day the watch ran flawlessly (for the most part) the second day I had constant restrings and crashes but today it is running amazingly. I have no idea why the change. The phone though as I stated is having some issues with battery life even when not in constant use like yesterday was.

Seems only a touch worse than iOS 9. I can easily make it through a 9 hour day at work, and get home, with 40-60% remaining (depending on how much I use it). Then I don't use it much at home, and by the time I go to bed 5 hours later it's usually at 30-40%.

So I'm decently happy with it.

For me on an iPhone 6S the battery life is impressive. I'm down to 40% which is about where I often am at this time of day. Considering that since the last charge I OTA'd the beta upgrade and have been playing with the settings for what seems like hours, it's doing very well.

I hardly store any photos on iCloud so that could be why I'm doing ok compared to some other posters here. I also noticed Apple has gone back to the "Let's turn Bluetooth on for a laugh" method of updating so I turned that off (not that I know whether having BT on doing nothing is much of a drain).

Apart from some short facetime calls, I've not actually made any phone calls today though. Been too busy working out which widgets to use :)

iOS 10b1 battery drain was roughly 1% per 90 seconds. iPhone got hot while idling.

On iOS 10b2 battery is still running short of a day. iPhone 6 64GB gets very warm on the back upper right opposite the camera. Others have said that the battery drain has to do with the ambient light detection used to determine whether nor not to post notifications.

Mail is the worst offender using 25% of the battery, Messages 12%, Safari 11%

One of the the tent pole features of iOS 10 is AI inspection of your photo library. When it calms down go do a search in your library for "car" or " dog" or the like.

I can't judge at the moment, I'm just about to take my phone off from a full charge to run a proper test.

Saying that, is anybody else's iPhone getting insanely hot when charging? Just pulled out the heat gun, and it seems to be sat about 41 degrees Celsius...

Is it solved now or still getting hot while charging? I am having the same issue, I don't know what to do
